### 3/5 — Quick to set up, hard to bypass and beautiful

*2026-06-10, version 1.0.21*

The only thing I really wish they would add is “folders” for the essential apps and other apps so people who have a lot of those don’t have to scroll through them all on those pages to find stuff. I get that the idea is that you’re encouraged to have fewer apps on your phone but in the modern world there are just so many dumb apps were simply required to have on our phones just in order to get around and get things done. I would love to be able to to just dump all my authenticator or transit apps under one name as a folder that would take me to them rather than having so many apps listed under my essentials.

### 3/5 — Ruined by Liquid Glass

*2026-02-21, version 1.0.21*

Yet another reason to hate the Liquid Glass effect, makes it so you have edges on the minimis widgets ruining the intended aesthetic

### 5/5 — used this everyday for months now

*2026-02-11, version 1.0.21*

a bit of effort to setup, but sososo good. not as good as before iOS 26s stupid liquid glass but still good...

*2026-02-06, version 1.0.21*

Great concept not quite ready for iPhone imho

### 5/5 — Love how clean this app feels

*2026-02-06, version 1.0.21*

The aesthetic is gorgeous with no distractions. It’s helped me use my phone more intentionally. I've becọme way more focused and uplifted. Friendly customer service was the cherry on top!!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-02-05, version 1.0.21*

Minimal design, maximum impact

### 4/5 — Wanted to like it

*2026-01-25, version 1.0.20*

I’ve been trying a few methods to reduce Screen Time and loved the promise and look feel of the app. I think they’re on the right track

### 5/5 — Finally kess screen time

*2026-01-19, version 1.0.19*

Tried grayscale but it didn't really go far enough. Since installing minimis, my screen time has dropped significantly. The interface is calming and the limited access to apps helps me prioritize real life......

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-01-18, version 1.0.19*

Minimalist design meets real functionality. I no longer feel overwhelmed by apps and notifications. Minimis keeps me centered and intentional. Brilliant app!

### 5/5 — Clean Minimal Experience

*2026-01-17, version 1.0.19*

I love how minimis simplifies everything. No unnecessary clutter, just essentials. It’s helped me stay more focused throughout the day without getting sidetracked.

### 5/5 — Perfect for my digital detox

*2026-01-16, version 1.0.19*

Minimis has cọmpletely changed how I use my phone. It cuts out distractions and keeps me focused. Highly recọmmended for anyone wanting to get more time and peace of mind!

### 2/5 — promising but nonfunctional

*2026-01-15, version 1.0.19*

The design of the app/widgets are nice and modern, although the tree area feels like a break from the overall aesthetic. The main issue with this app is that it will only interact with the apps that the developers have pre-loaded into the (very small) app list. This means you cannot configure it according to your own needs, and so you will inevitably find yourself just working around it. I don't think it's reasonable to charge $50 per year for something that is essentially unfinished. A minimalist launcher like Blank is much better because you can add literally any app to it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — SCAM

*2026-04-10, version 1.0.21*

Took my money ($5 for one month) online prior to app installation, followed their instructions to install but then the app would not recognize that I was already subscribed. I Sent multiple emails and Instagram messages to them but no answer. I Will be reporting to my credit card company in order to block any attempt by them to obtain further subscription payments.

### 1/5 — Drains iPhone Battery

*2026-03-22, version 1.0.21*

I’ve used this for a few months now and I won’t be able to keep using it. Pros: I love how minimis works, and it genuinely helped me reduce my phone addiction. It’s heavy-handed in a clever way and I appreciate how it challenges me before letting me access my addictive apps.

Con: my battery now drains very quickly, to the point that I am worried it’s shortening the life of my phone. I was impressed enough during the trial to pay $69.99 for a year, but this is such a significant flaw that I had to uninstall it.

I want to be on my phone less, but not because it’s always nearly dead.

There is no link to user support in the app or on their website. I didn’t know there are similar apps for much cheaper, but at this price point I should be able to reach someone without having to post on Reddit.

### 1/5 — Mediocre App Launcher

*2026-03-12, version 1.0.21*

Clean design doesn’t make up for the lack of functionality or ease of use. You could effectively create this in Shortcuts with your own wallpaper.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-03-01, version 1.0.21*

You can do all of this on your iPhone already. Nothing new except paying $50 fee for a more sleek Home Screen. Wallpaper is completely blank with typical iPhone features

### 1/5 — A waste of money

*2026-02-28, version 1.0.21*

I DO NOT recommend. There’s other options with better shortcuts setups (ei: opening messages to a new message instead of normal layout ) shortcut app always showing between pressing and the actual app! Download the Dumb phone app instead!

### 1/5 — A Ripoff and Not worth it

*2026-02-03, version 1.0.21*

Said there was a 7 day trial and then immediately charged me the full $50. What a scam. And There are others out there not expensive and way better. Choose them.

### 1/5 — Same as White Screen for 10x the price

*2026-01-11, version 1.0.18*

White Screen Minimal launcher is pretty much the same as this except it’s a one time purchase of 6.99 CAD. This one only offers yearly subscription (no one-time) and it’s 69.99 CAD

### 1/5 — Refund

*2026-01-05, version 1.0.17*

I’m still in the 7 day trial and would like to cancel my subscription and get a refund. It is extremely difficult to find and cancel.

### 1/5 — Shortcuts non functional

*2025-12-24, version 1.0.17*

The shortcuts that enable launching ios apps don’t function. There is no set up guide or faq page in the app or website. I loved this, but it seems to have been abandoned.

### 1/5 — Shame

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.13*

Yea it’s kinda ok. Promises a lot but because of IOS limitations it doesn’t do much that free apps can do themselves.
Not only this but £50 is too steep for something that I can get free. Shame as I supported them from the start but alas

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Reduced my screen time by roughly 80%

*2026-04-09, version 1.0.21*

My biggest issue with screen wasn’t total time per day but how frequently I was using it so conventional apple screen time wasn’t useful, but the 15 minute timers on here are perfect.

Takes a few days to really get into the routine of using the app to find things rather than searching but is really very handy.

Only pickup I have is I would like the Forest to progress to somewhere a bit more visible an easier to understand, but really not an issue at all.

I was an original lifetime subscriber and never really used through the testing stages but have fully committed to using it now and works great.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2026-03-29, version 1.0.21*

Exactly what I needed to make my phone unaddicting yet functional. Only feature I’d add is if we could select our own character limit for the addictive app justification box, that way you can turn those urges into a small journaling session!

### 5/5 — Noticeably scrolling less

*2026-03-23, version 1.0.21*

At night I used to lose track of time just bouncing between apps. With this setup, everything feels simpler and harder to mindlessly scroll. The design is minimal but really pretty, and I spend way less time on my phone before bed without feeling like I’m forcing it!

### 5/5 — Cleaner UI

*2026-03-23*

I started using it to make my days feel less chaotic. Now when I unlock my phone, I only see what actually matters, and I’m not stuck checking random appby habit. The layout looks really clean and calm, which helps me live better.

### 5/5 — I like it

*2026-02-18, version 1.0.21*

No cọmplaints from me

### 5/5 — Breath of 'Fresh Digital Air'!

*2026-02-17, version 1.0.21*

Stress-free, saved time, improved mood, and higher productivity. I had an issue that meant I had to temp uninstall, and I realized how much I love Minimis; couldn't go without it. Was fixed swiftly by a kind support rep!!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2026-02-15, version 1.0.21*

Crisp design feels super clean, and I’m more focused every day. Plus, support responds quickly and is always polite. Love this!

### 5/5 — Epic app

*2026-02-13, version 1.0.21*

Just epic

### 5/5 — Highly recọmmend for a digital detox!

*2026-02-13, version 1.0.21*

Love the elegant minimalist interface – it’s calming and functional. I’ve saved so much time and feel mentally lighter.

### 5/5 — Minimis is great

*2026-02-12, version 1.0.21*

Wellness must have
