Helps out so much with keeping track of paints, it is missing a number of paints from its list, but other than that it is great. Wish Tamiya paints were included as well as being able to add a picture at each paint step instead of just a completed sub part. ### 5/5 — Excellent all-in-one. *2022-01-07, version 4.8* Stumbled across this app through the mini painting Reddit site following trying to write down all of my paints, mixes etc. This app is excellent and incorporates most features you could possibly need. Just a couple of ideas that could further improve personally and perhaps it’s just me being silly - being able to use the app in landscape mode on the iPad and potentially alternate views on the paints - grids, smaller icons etc. Small points but would be great from a user perspective! Absolutely love being able to store my project information. Really great for being able to see what other paints from other brands match paints so that you can easily replace or match from other sets. My only complaint is that as I use the app on my iPad and my Phone I can’t easily manage data between them. I have to instead share by QR code. Some sort of data management either using iCloud or Dropbox would make this app absolutely killer in my opinion. ### 5/5 — So helpful! Better than my excel doc *2021-08-08, version 4.7* This app is fantastic. Easy to use. Provides a wide range of paints; hoping some of the Culturehustle paints make it into the app at some point. The hex colour search across all the paint brands has been invaluable, I’d love to be able to search by RGB/Pantone etc too, especially useful when trying to match real life shades. I’d really like to use it more on the iPad but without a landscape mode this makes it very difficult, being able to have the iPad sitting next to me as I paint is ideal but I can’t do it in portrait. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No longer updates *2024-06-01, version 4.8* Hasn’t Ben updated in some time and some changes in the market have made the app no longer relevant sadly ### 1/5 — App won’t open!!! *2021-07-02, version 4.7* In looking at another App to list all of my Vallejo Model Acrylic Paints I stumbled across this one and was so excited by what I read it can do...take photos of my model, list the colors I use and it mix it digitally along with allowing me to leave detailed notes on my paint up among other features. I couldn’t download this app fast enough only to be COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED.....THE APP WON’T EVEN OPEN! Wow! Talk about a “buzz kill”!!! You can’t even email the developer to let him know that the app doesn’t open because he’s left no way to contact him that I could find anyway! Really??? So I mentioned these features to the developer of the other app I downloaded (paintRack) to see about adding features similar to those supposedly offered by this one. Not only could I email the developer of “paintRack” directly from the app, but he reached out to me in under 30 minutes of me sending him an email about it! Now that’s how developers should conduct business! If there’s an issue with their app they should allow customers to email them about it. VERY DISAPPOINTED HERE! If the developer of this app reaches out to me and fixes the problem, I’ll revamp my review. But until then this AWESOME sounding app is as useless as a screen door on a submarine to me. 😞👎🏻 ### 2/5 — Good app but! *2024-02-22, version 4.8* It’s a good app but it would seem there has been no updates for about 2 years at time of writing hence only 2 stars which is a shame other wise it would have got 5. ### 2/5 — Developer has abandoned app *2023-04-17, version 4.8* The app is really great in so many ways, But the developer seems to have abandoned it. Many paints are missing from current lines and there is a complete lack of paints lines that are commonly used by miniature painters. Also, any form of communication to the dev is non-existent, or dev simply ignores users questions. I would happily Up the rating, if the dev returns to this app, but until then…I’ll be moving on to an actual Supported app. ### 2/5 — Needs an update *2023-03-08, version 4.8* This was my favourite all-around paint inventory. But then I got the Vallejo interference colours (space dust, magic dust, etc) and found they weren't included. Then the Citadel contrast range expanded and they aren't there. Then Vallejo entirely changed their Game Color range (including adding express paints and new fx), and none of those are there, either. It's now all but useless. I can use the brand-specific app for one brand, but it looks like I need to find myself a new app. This one hasn't been updated in years. ### 3/5 — Meh *2024-08-21, version 4.8* It's okay. The project recipe section is really great to not only add steps but it also allow taking a photo and sharing the steps. It would be nice to have additional characters for notes.
