The text is so tiny and I’m nearsighted. More contrast would help with hint board. I had fun in the 15-ish minutes it took me to finish, but the text and not being able to see how many cases I had per round were frustrating. Papers, please is a fantastic game and this is definitely cut from the same cloth. That said, I really wish they would add some simple accessibility features. I’m visually impaired and somewhat color blind, so anytime the clue is the pajama color with the heart- I basically have no clue, because the line is so fine and the PJ colors look so similar to me that it’s complete guesswork. Adding some sort feature where they add words or allow you to adjust the colors, or even just fill in the entire heart would be a dream. I finished playing the story mode which was quite a refreshing experience. As the custodian you have the choice to stick to your character or betray the government, to support the movement. The way I had to assign the babies to the parents on a time crunch had me on my toes, especially when all of the genetic clues were up. I went on the internet to find a guide since the game is still in development I reverted to my steam account and added this game to my wishlist. Hoping I get picked for a play test before it goes live. I do wonder if like in the game there will be some out of office activities for the player to participate in. This version had me at you’ve been rewarded a bigger housing. As for the game itself, for the first few levels, this game is mostly chance. You have to match the babies by their physical characteristics, but there are a lot of things that aren’t precise, so it’s easy to make mistakes. Once the blood types are known, the supporting physical characteristics help- though height and weight throughout seem very random. And there’s no way to actually read through all the info on all parents and babies and make informed decisions in the short amount of time you’re allotted. Also, there are “secret missions” to disrupt the office and place babies to specific parents that they don’t belong to. If you do this successfully, you don’t get anything other than a penalty if you mismatching them to their child. Finally, you are given “penalties” or “rewards” based on how well you do (I had some bad rounds and got a pay cut, apparently, and another round I did well and got a bigger place to live?), but these have absolutely no impact on the gameplay. Finally, all the text is VERY small and super-hard to read- I actually had to take and blow up screenshots to read the details! This version has about a half-hour worth of gameplay.
