## What is Minneapolis 311?

Want to report a pothole, broken streetlight, or parking meter while on the go? The
Minneapolis 311 app makes reporting issues like these easier than ever. The app

is reported until it is resolved.

The mobile app can also be used to report such issues as graffiti, damaged street signs,

This app submits data to City of Minneapolis via a third party service, SeeClickFix. The handling
of the data submitted to the City for servicing the issues submitted using this app is covered by
the city's privacy policy which you may read here: http://www.minneapolismn.gov/about/

### 2/5 — Great service, broken app

*2025-10-11, version 6.2.1*

Glad this app exists, but there seems to be a serious issue with it. Looking through issues reported by other citizens in the app, so many of them are riddled with crazy typos. It wasn’t until I submitted my own stoplight issue that I realized the typos were caused by the app itself. The text I carefully reviewed and posted differed wildly from what was shown after submission. It seems to ignore certain modifications and autocomplete selections.

For example, if I start typing “Xer” and choose the “Xerxes” autocomplete option, the text input box will correctly show “Xerxes”, but after publishing, it shows something like “Xerave”, mashing together the pre-autocomplete text with the next word I typed. I imagine this is very difficult for city staff to make sense of.

### 2/5 — Redundant form questions

*2025-09-09, version 6.2.1*

I would love to love this app, but the submission form is annoying to use with redundant fields and far too many required fields.

There are two description text fields in addition to a “select an answer” sheet with prefilled options. Condensed this to one.

I have to place a pin on the map to get to the form, why do you then ask for an intersection? I already gave you that info. You can probably pull it from an attached photo too.

Why do you not use the date and time selector for those fields? Typing that from the standard keyboard is a lot harder than using the controls that were specifically made for date and time selection.

### 5/5 — Tell friends, family, and neighbors.

*2024-11-16, version 5.17.0*

Grateful for the non emergency service.

### 4/5 — Keep on MPLS. 💗

*2023-12-27, version 5.16.0*

Running a city requires community involvement. This tool helps the citizens contribute

### 1/5 — Completely useless

*2023-06-06, version 5.13.0*

Good for absolutely nothing. App is trash pretty much impossible to get or report any information or issues. Pretty much what I expect from this city.

### 1/5 — Can’t close issue

*2023-01-30, version 5.9.5*

I keep getting emails on a grass not mowed issue, it’s winter now, but I can’t close the issue!!!

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2022-12-15, version 5.9.5*

This app doesn’t seem to be supported anymore? I can’t perform any action. I can’t sign in, I can’t register, when I go to report an issue it will say “cannot load categories”. Unfortunate as it seems like it used to be a very helpful app.

### 1/5 — WORST APP EVER

*2022-03-19, version 5.9.5*

They literally don’t do ANYTHING about any mess, disruptions or anything that should be handled by the city. Have absolutely no idea why they would have an app to do nothing about anything. You can report whatever you want but nothing will happen. They say it’s been “noted as a claim” then will just be taken off in a week. POINTLESS APP.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work???

*2020-11-18, version 5.7.1*

It seems like the first tab “places” links you to different things like “city web” and “street sweep” etc, so why when I click any of them they don’t work????? Nothing happens. The rest of the stuff, like “notices” works.

### 1/5 — Loser

*2020-01-02, version 5.6.0*

This app will not load. Do you expect users to have wifi at all times? If so, make it free to all within city limits. Frustrating.
