### 4/5 — Helpful for decision making in Markets and Personal Finance!

*2026-02-19*

For anyone serious about their portfolio, the Livemint app is a top-tier companion. Its Market Dashboard is arguably the best in the business, offering a clean, real-time interface to track the Nifty, Sensex, and global indices without the clutter found in rival apps.
The IPO coverage is a standout feature, providing deep-dive analysis, grey market premium (GMP) updates, and subscription status that helps retail investors make informed "Apply or Avoid" decisions. For personal finance, the app excels at breaking down complex tax laws, mutual fund trends, and insurance shifts into actionable insights. While the occasional ad-heavy interface on the free tier can be distracting, the depth of data and the seamless integration of The Wall Street Journal content make it an indispensable resource for the modern Indian investor.

Merge it, looks really fun.

### 5/5 — Keeps me updated

*2025-02-06*

I have been an avid reader of Mint probably from day one of its launch and am now a subscriber to your website!
The subscriber's special articles are well-researched and equally informative.
Even on weekends, I get to read a lot.
And yes, timely notifications keeps me updated.

### 5/5 — Iam interesting

*2024-12-19, version 5.15*

Olso iam requesting to help me in this application

### 2/5 — Mint e-Paper Section

*2024-12-12*

The recent UI/UX change of the e-paper section on mobile app is a clear shot down on basics of screen space.

Considering ideal phone screen size the screen has failed in giving enough space to actual paper section. It becomes too difficult for a normal user to read the article contents. Though, it’s feasible to click on the article and then read it but still users prefer reading plot on the page owing to time constraints.

Also, the top news shows article of 12-10 days before. Is that the relevance and use case of top news section ?

In the Banking section, I’ve seen most news about bank holidays. Is it that important?

Way to go for Mint when it comes to mobile application navigation. I like the long reads and article based graphics but overall navigation and type of news listing is completely faulty.

### 4/5 — Good package; small improvements required

*2024-10-15*

Second year subscriber, and I've found the package with The Economist be of great value for business news and podcasts.

Would give it 5 stars, but wanted to bring one issue to the developer: pop-ups on the app. As a premium subscriber, I still get pop-ups telling me to subscribe to premium. Also pop-ups that tell me subscribe to authors. Fix these in the premium experience, and then it's 5 stars!

### 4/5 — Good app

*2024-09-05, version 5.13*

Good app

### 5/5 — Factual reporting

*2024-08-24, version 5.13*

Noted the amt of heavily weighted, non factual reporting in todays on line forums

### 3/5 — Poor app

*2024-07-19*

Trying to open an article and it is opening a different article that I opened previously.

**Developer response:** Dear User, could you please contact us via support@livemint.com? We'd love to hear more about this issue in order to assist you.

### 2/5 — Great content marred by a poor app and UX

*2024-07-13*

Great journalism, amazing content - marred by a poor app and absolutely shambolic UX.
Despite a subscription, one has to login repeatedly as one goes about reading from one section to another - and this is all in-app navigation mind you. Try reading their weekend stories - and you end up with an infuriating start to the weekend struggling with the poor backend systems of the app.

I’d subscribed to their content, but I just can’t deal with the pathetic navigation experience of their app. Don’t be trapped, stay away if you haven’t subscribed yet!!

**Developer response:** Hi, sorry for the unpleasant experience you had with our app. We request you to kindly write to us at support@livemint.com and kindly share your email or mobile number as well so that we could connect with you and debug the issue.

### 5/5 — Resourceful Journalism

*2024-03-18*

Flawless, bring back your podcast series.

### 3/5 — Good app for news but you have to know when to stop pushing for subs

*2024-03-08*

Great app overall, 4 stars. Deducting 1 star for annoying banner that displays the number of days left till my subscription expires. There is still more than 355 days left! The devs need to reduce the number of days to a week or so before the reminder banner pops up. I do not like distractions while reading, it is why I subscribed in the first place. Be better.

### 5/5 — Mr Raja KUMAR

### 5/5 — Clean layout and valuable information

I like this application a lot as a beginner

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Absolute fraud.

*2025-06-08*

I signed up for the subscription since the wsj and economist articles were part of the subscription. Now I am not able to access it and they say it is available for additional subscription fee when I could access it all this time. Basically now they changed the plan details without any consideration for existing subscribers.

### 1/5 — No customer support

*2023-07-03*

The content is good, but the claims of access to the economist subscription and access in website and app of the economist are incorrect.
I have tried reaching to the team through various channels and surprisingly enough the emails mentioned on the website are inactive or non existent. This is really surprising. There is no contact option and hence this distraught review.
Very disappointed with the customer support.

### 1/5 — E-paper isn’t working with latest update.

*2023-02-11*

I’m not able to see the e paper with the latest update. I’ve paid for a subscription and I can’t access the content. Please fix the issue asap.

### 1/5 — Highly monetized strategy for news content

*2021-01-09*

I am a user since 1.5 years and it had good content. Until today, it stopped showing me full articles and asked me to sign in if I wanted to read more.

I signed in with my email. And guess what, I still wasn’t able to read the article as the entire app was now covered with a banner from mint to subscribe to their paid version. The banner not only was distracting and hurtful to the eyes in the neon orange color, but it also covered my “back” button and the entire content and hence I wasnt able to navigate back and forth limiting user functionality.

Dear Mint team,
If you think such marketing gimmicks are going to fetch you some money and giant user baae . You are absolutely wrong. These tricks dont work. Rather work on improving content if you want to have loyal customers.

Lost my respect for you guys.
Uninstalling and switching to The Hindu!

### 1/5 — Good content, pathetic app

*2020-12-23*

The app is just a browser served in an app! The most infuriating thing is that even after paying for a subscription, you get downright pathetic ads in the app! I accidentally clicked on one and a game showed up that I couldn’t exit out of!

### 1/5 — Unbelievable ads

*2020-10-18, version 4.21*

Video ads just start playing with sound turned on. I am unhappy that I have to endure this for the next year and a half (which is when my subscription ends). I'm gladly moving to FT when I'm done.

### 1/5 — Not available in full screen in iPad 7

*2020-09-29*

App is not available in full screen

### 1/5 — Great app

*2020-08-26, version 4.17*

Informative to the point
Full of easy to read details

### 1/5 — No update on the app

*2019-06-13*

The other sections apart from the latest do not get updated anymore. My opinions page shows articles dated 19Jan19. Today is 13Jun19. I think this is a major glitch as it brings down the whole essence of the app.

### 1/5 — Zero customisation and not user-friendly at all

*2015-04-14, version 1.5*

Even though mint is known for the quality of The News and analysis they provide, the app provides a very poor user experience. Very simple features like changing the font size are simply missing from the app. The layout is not optimised for the screen of the device and it really feels uncomfortable using The button is provided. I have been a big fan of mint, The app is mounting great hurdles in consuming the news.

### 5/5 — ⭐ The Best Economic News App for Investors and Traders

*2026-08-01*

I find this app extremely enjoyable and practical to use. Unlike many other news apps, it doesn't overwhelm users with excessive information. Instead, it presents important economic and market updates in a clear, straightforward, and well-organized manner.

The interface is clean and free from unnecessary clutter, making it easy to focus on what truly matters. This simplicity, combined with the quality of information provided, makes it highly recommendable.

Several of my friends started using the app based on my recommendation, and they have been equally impressed with the experience. For investors and traders who want to stay informed about economic developments, market trends, and key financial news, this is one of the most reliable and user-friendly options available.

### 5/5 — Unmatched Clarity & Depth in Financial Journalism

*2025-07-23*

With over a decade of reviewing financial news apps, I can confidently say Mint strikes the perfect balance between depth and accessibility. Its crisp, jargon-free reporting makes even complex economic developments comprehensible to the general reader—without diluting substance. The app excels with smartly curated tools like mutual fund reviews, loan comparisons, and daily financial indicators. As an editor and developer, I also appreciate its clean UX and smooth performance. Mint isn’t just a news source—it’s a financial companion I return to every day.
