Literally usage is twice as much! So if I use 500 gig in two days on your platform it’s actually 250 gig thru any 3 companies! Ok anyways, I went through the process of getting an eSIM. All the way to some page that says “congratulation …” blah blah. Fine. Thought that was that. Then a page…fill out details of your account for verification etc…what? What’s with the congratulations then? So now there’s an “issue” with activation. I need to call them. Called … then waited … 35 minutes 15 seconds!! Yeah yeah…leave a message and they’ll call back ASAP. I’m not falling for the banana in the tailpipe again. I’ll be driving and I don’t want to give them any excuse about not answering my phone or I can’t get a signal. The agent lady was actually pretty calm. I think she could sense my frustration…..when I raised my voice. Anyways here’s the finale… The email I used to sign up couldn’t be verified! Huh???? I thought..Maybe I did enter a different email address. I gave her my business, personal etc. Nope. She tells me not one of them is address I signed up with. I’m not drunk, I’m not senile. So..although I knew the NEW email address I entered for this NEW phone number for my NEW project, I gave her EVERY email address I had. EVERY…SINGLE…ONE! But still no. Anyways it’s up to you if you want to try this service. For the mint mobile person who might read this…you can send me a gift card to steak house in Vegas for the BS I went through. I won’t update this review with “I got a gift card”…but I’ll raise it to 4 stars for making it right. One more thing (yeah I know this is long) … that “how can we improve” etc… just fix the glitch and hire more agents (I think work from home…right?) ### 1/5 — awful service *2026-08-14, version 2.3.51* had a thoroughly horrible time with custom service, once you get past the ai bs, is a bunch of confused coworkers. dont try and transfer your phone number when getting a plan with these guys because its a nightmare ### 1/5 — No Value for Paid Data! *2026-08-13, version 2.3.51* I paid 20$ (the cost of an entire month) to get a mere 3GB of data... and now find they are completely useless for hotspot which is all I use it for!!! This makes it impossible for you to leave Mint mobile since you need that number to move your number to another carrier. It’s deliberate and a total scam. The app is designed to keep you prisoner. ### 1/5 — Avoid at all costs!!! *2026-08-11, version 2.3.51* Their support is impossible to get ahold of and they won’t honor their refund policies ### 5/5 — Truly Unbelievable *2026-08-11, version 2.3.51* Ok, I thought GoogleFi was a great deal…and it was…as long as I never used my phone. Once a “life change”caused me to start texting and using more data, my bills started skyrocketing. I had nothing to lose so I made the switch to Mint. Switching was simple and I pre pay for a year so my bill for one year was less than 4 months will Fi and I get 5x’s the data! It uses T-Mobiles network just like Fi so my coverage is exactly the same except now I can use WiFi calling, hotspot tethering etc all for no extra fees!!! It is already known that Mint Mobile doesn’t send data usage details to users on monthly statements. They don’t have statements. They don’t keep a record of phone calls, number of texts, or anything, unless to turn over to law enforcement. Then suddenly they have all the records. You would think that this information would be accessible to the customer through a web portal or THEIR APP, but you would think wrong. This app has no useful information. Its one purpose is to insert an eSIM into a newly connected phone. It fails at that. You will wind up using the activation code that’s sent by email, because the app is a total failure. Finally, the app has login issues. Try to login, you’re in. Put your phone down for a minute or two, you’re logged out. Try to log in again, you’re locked out for an hour. And if you’re foolish enough to think that this app will work with FaceID, again, you would be thinking wrong. It will get stuck 4 times out of 5, then lock you out for another hour. I use Mint Mobile for the price. But the customer service is nonexistent, their website has no useful information, and their app is junk. ### 1/5 — “Convenient” *2026-08-21, version 2.3.52* Had to spend over 24 hours trying to restore my cell service. Atrocious service, doesn’t recognize home WiFi, uses more data than necessary, drops calls anywhere and everywhere. You aren’t given your account number either, so leaving MINT will be a nightmare. If you opt for the 3-month-at-a-time plan, you’ll be waiting way longer for your data to reset than it actually says. My renewal date continuously gets pushed back, despite no change in my data usage. I’m currently two weeks without mobile service! Thanks MINT! Customer service is atrocious. The use of AI is detrimental to human society. You’re telling me there are people without clean drinking water just so AI can provide me with horrendous customer service that gets nothing done? For nothing to be solved? Shameful.
