### 2/5 — Really cool app, but it wants me to pay twice

I have uninstalled and redownloaded, and despite continuing to be billed, my available credits are negative, even though I am just trying to do offline transcriptions. 

Lots to love about the app, and I get that the developer is just one person, but this is a total showstopper.

Thank you for your honest feedback, and I sincerely apologise for the experience you had with it. 

Do note that the Minutes Pro subscription does not provide additional credits, but it does entitle users to unlimited offline transcription (as well as other exclusive features). 

This means that if the “Use Offline Model” setting is enabled, the app will transcribe regardless of your credit balance.

Nevertheless, I hope that you will give me the opportunity to personally resolve your issue by reaching out via email at brandon.thio@yahoo.com.sg, or through the app’s Settings page under “Submit Feedback”.

### 2.0.1 — 2023-07-17

Partially addressed crashes occurring in the background while recording audio. Investigations revealed that the crashes were caused by the operating system terminating the app when a user exits it. 

Since transcription is a resource-intensive task, the system restricts apps from performing such tasks in the background. To mitigate this issue, the update now cancels the transcription process when a user quits Minutes. However, on slower devices and/or larger models, the cancellation may take more than a few seconds, causing the app to be terminated anyway. 

A comprehensive solution is under development, involving significant changes to the user workflow. As a temporary workaround to avoid app termination, it is advised not to quit and reopen Minutes repeatedly while recording. For instance, if you wish to conserve battery, exit Minutes after starting the recording, and only open the app to pause/stop the recording. I apologise for any inconvenience caused!
