### 4/5 — Nice

*2025-06-07, version 4.4.0*

No longer have the connection problems that I used to have.

### 4/5 — Connectivity

*2025-06-05, version 4.4.0*

I’ve found that I need to “re-link” my hearing aids and iPhone at least once a day (sometimes more), especially if I’m away from my home modem. The instructions to relink are simple and easy to follow, but having to do it so often is a pain.

### 5/5 — Great devices

### 3/5 — Hearing the words.

### 5/5 — Miracle-Ear app

*2025-06-03, version 4.4.0*

Miracle-Ear app is pretty cool that you can adjust where the sounds coming from whether it’s behind you or in front of you or to the left to the right, or omnidirectional. you can adjust the volume. you can also adjust if you’re watching TV or in a classroom setting so it has several features. I never thought I would need hearing aids, but I’m thankful for them. Thank you, Bill G

### 5/5 — Great product !!!

*2025-06-02, version 4.4.0*

I have the ax5 hearing aid/+ the cross transmitter, the both of them paired , “seems” like I’m hearing out of my really low ear equally. These aids are truly amazing!! Technology from Miracle Ear!! I highly recommend M E to anyone who has loss of hearing issues. I would love to have a piece for my low ear. Maybe the technology will be reality in the near future in the meantime, I value my 2 pieces from Miracle Ear thanks for your products. “Cowboy “

### 5/5 — Miracle-Ear

Best experience I have had with my hearing aids. The new tech at the 99th & Bell Ave. location in Glandale/Peoria was amazing to say the least. Took the time to make sure I understood how to use the aids properly. Never happier with my new aids!! Thank you Miracle-Ear.

Very easy to use

### 5/5 — Very satisfied

*2025-06-01, version 4.4.0*

I was hesitant about getting hearing aids but I think people were getting annoyed with me for not hearing them.

Pete tested my hearing and together we figured out what was best for me. I returned about a week later to pick them up and I have worn them every waking hour ever since. To be honest, I don’t even realize I have them in. I just know that I am back in the hearing world and wish I had not waited so long to get them.

Pete is very professional and personable. He is very patient with me trying to explain what adjustments I would like. He has always been great at achieving the results I am want.

I have five different programs set up for different heating events. They work great!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It’s not finished

*2025-01-24, version 4.2.1*

Let me be clear. Having compared this app with the soon-to-be “obsolete” version, I find this to be lacking in several aspects.

First, unless someone can point me in a different direction, there are no available options on the app to connect the TV Streamer to the app and subsequently, my hearing aids. The older version connects solidly, and indicates that the streaming connection is in place.

Second, the app continually locks up when I attempt to configure reception settings for specific scenarios. These are already in place on the older version.

Third, battery drain on my phone has significantly increased when using the new app. Not so with the older version. This is on an iPhone X which is only a few months old and demonstrates excellent battery charge retention without the new app in active use.

The app looks great and has potential, but I get the feeling that more time has been given to looks as opposed to performance and thorough beta testing.

Please give your attention to making this the quality product that I’m certain you want it to be.

UPDATE AS OF 12/12/19: This app has gone from bad to worse. Bluetooth connection is extremely sporadic, and it has become impossible to connect with the television streaming device. The streaming box is now disconnected and I’m still having major issues maintaining connection with the app. Extremely disappointing.

### 1/5 — HATE THE APP

*2024-01-18*

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with with this app for a few years now but unless the developers get on the ball I’m done with it! I’ve complained several times with specifics but never any answers or improvements.
Don’t tell me it’s my phone. I know several ME users and all have the same issue; hearing aids disconnect from the app (not the phone) and will not reconnect! I’m not re-pairing the aids every time I need the app. Thought it was finally debugged because up until a couple of days ago it worked perfectly for about 5 weeks but we are back down to where it’s been; not connecting. For the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars I’ve spent on ME aids over the years I expect the app to work! To those of us who rely on hearing aids having the ability to adjust bass and treble settings and the focus feature are very important. I see there’s a recent update which I downloaded today but ZERO change. DO BETTER!!!!

### 1/5 — Gold standard no more

*2023-12-14*

There are a plethora of reasons why I do not like these rechargeables; they continue to draw outward instead of staying snug in the ear, despite trying all options at the office. Second the charger is ridiculously cheap, bulky and the lights are bright in a dark bedroom at night. Thirdly, the app… it stinks, here I am with an issue this morning where i am not connected. How does this happen on a whim. I’ve been trying to pair them all over again, 20 mins later, won’t connect, tells me to make sure they are charged ( of course I removed them not more than 20 mins ago from said charger, they had been in the charger overnight). I have a iPhone 14 promax and the updates are always done, so it’s not the phone, it’s not our wi-fi…it’s the app. In the meantime i will be attending a conference an unable to tweak my aides to the surrounding sound. Wonderful.

I was ecstatic with my old pair, yep the durable regular battery type. Wish to God i never “upgraded “ M.E. although the techs are wonderful, the product is not worth it, I’ll be looking for other options as these are the gold standard no more.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2023-03-14*

I’ve downloaded this app several times over the years it’s been listed here and each time I’ve been disappointed. I tried again after the latest update and it worked about 50% of the time but since then it has stopped connecting to my HA. I contacted the developer and got an automated reply about how much they appreciate my feedback and will be in touch soon. That was a couple of months ago. STILL WAITING!!! We need features that are only available thru the app (treble/ base equalizer) unless you want to run to your nearest ME location, provided you can get an appointment. Even my ME guy says “app is a lost cause”. You would think a company that makes its money on the hearing impaired would be all over a fix but you would be wrong!

### 1/5 — Absolute crap.

*2022-10-21, version 3.6.0*

Same bugs version after version, year after year. I spent about $7,500 on my Miracle-Ear hearing aids and have been fighting this app from day one. I guess $7,500 doesn’t mean much to Miracle-Ear but it was years of my savings money for me.

Then add insult to injury when I call Miracle-Ear app support and am told to wait for, yet, another app update.

Worse yet, I have noticed my very honest Miracle-Ear app reviews constantly disappear from the App Store. Gee, I wonder why. What doesn’t Miracle-Ear want it’s users to know? Finally, seriously question the validity of all the five star reviews. None of them reflect any of the very serious frustrations I have constantly experienced and sound completely bogus to me.

### 1/5 — Just worthless

*2022-03-12*

Endlessly loses connection with the hearing aids and requires repairing. But when you try to re-pair then the app is unable to do so. So you have to go into settings for your phone, delete your hearing aids, repair the hearing aids with your phone, and then try to do the same with the app. It will occasionally work, but more often than not it won’t. I’m reduced to accessing hearing aid controls through my iPhone, which seems to hang onto the hearing aids much better. But there is noTrouble or base controls that way, and the app sits on the phone, a baleful reminder that the Miracle Ear engineers must not have tested their work in real life. Every other hearing aid I have owned in recent years, since Bluetooth was a thing has done better, and once I kind afford a new pair I will switch hearing aid brands away from Miracle-Ear, simply because they are app is such a dreadful failure.

### 1/5 — A big step backwards

*2021-12-13, version 3.2.4*

I don’t like this new and “improved “ app anywhere near like the old one. Much of the functionality has disappeared and what’s new doesn’t work very well. For example; I just put my hearing aides in for the first time today and started the app. It said it was gathering data from the device and when finished told me I have had them in for 2.5 hours.

Developer responded telling me that this app has the same functionality as the old app. Today I went to miracle ear for my annual hearing test so I asked how to get the new app to work like the old app. I was informed that “everyone liked the old app better” and that functionality had certainly been removed.

For example there was a screen whereby you could select one of the many sounds the hearing aides would make and listen to them.
I asked how to get to this on the new app and was told that I couldn’t.

Again the amount of time that it claims I have wearing the device is incorrect. It uses quite an amount of screen real estate for a constantly incorrect value.

It’s a shame that the developer responded the way they did.

### 1/5 — Fatal error

*2021-11-02, version 3.2.3*

App wont pair to hearing aids and closes out to home screen. I train others in the use of BT technology and acid test platforms for performance, so this is not operator error.

Better get a tech on this ASAP—and clear out all the other dead apps in the app store that are not viable—It is a real pain to load one app, only to get told you need to load another one and discard the one you just downloaded.

Might be good to hire a trained individual in user experiences also—For someone who charges an arm and a leg for hearing devices, I would expect far more than what I have seen today.

### 1/5 — Updated app - forced upgrade!

*2021-10-28*

The new app will not pair with my hearing aids now and when it can’t pair the app crashes. This is all after I needed to use the app to select a noisy environment preset or may use the 360 setup. I put off using the “new improved” app 18 months ago because of feature changes and what I need to use is no longer available. Tried again at 12 months ago, still lacking in features the older MEControl had. Tonight at dinner in a noisy restaurant with customers I was forced to upgrade with no way out. I needed to change to my preset settings immediately but I now have to download the new app during an important business meeting, try and re-pair but the app keeps crashing. So I give up. I could not hear what the customers were saying all night because of the background noise. I finally turned them off completely. Now I could hear some of what they were saying. I have iPhone 7 with iOS 14.2 fits the narrative, but guess what doesn’t work! I’m ready to switch!

### 2/5 — Ios 18.2.1

*2025-01-28, version 4.2.1*

Only pairs with either the left or right side no matter what you try. I’ve tried installing and uninstalling the app. And have restarted the device multiple times with no success. I have even hand the phone forget the Bluetooth device and rediscovered it with no success. The app is rather useless at this point.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-06-09*

I knew that my hearing was getting bad, but didn’t realize how bad. Miracle-Ear gave me a very thorough exam and hearing test and then explained everything to me so that I could understand the difference in why some sounds were harder to hear than others. They helped me choose the right hearing aids for me and my needs and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can feel confident going places by myself, going out in a group and interacting with friends and family again. It’s like I discovered a new life. Everyone at Miracle-Ear was so great! The way they treated me and genuinely wanted to help me hear again, made me feel special. They are amazing!
