## What is Miracle Modus?

"It goes ding and you feel better." -- Jesse H., noted fantasy author and spouse

The Miracle Modus is a source of hypnotic rainbows and soft bells. I'm autistic, and I wrote this because I wanted something to mitigate sensory overload. I find mathematically-patterned rainbow lights very soothing. After I showed it to a couple of friends and they had similar experiences, I decided to publish it.

The first time you open the app, it will make a bit of noise and draw a bunch of lines, squares, and hexes. Once it's done this it should have a guess as to how fast your device is, and be able to perform decently. This is a little unreliable still; improvements are planned.

More testimonials from users:
"I can stop watching this whenever I want to, I just don't want to right now." -- Magical Princess Lory, webcomic artist
"It changed my life and perception. Whether it was for the best remains to be seen." -- brightwave, app developer
"I was so overloaded my face went numb and I couldn't get up off the couch, so he showed me the app and said to give it a try, and I felt relaxed for the first time in days. If you are stuck on the couch whimpering, try to slide this app under your prostrate face as soon as possible." -- Luka D., webcomic artist
"It's so cool I can't even look at it." - Lerg, app developer

USAGE:
Watch the pretty lights. Want different pretty lights? Tap in any corner, then tap the arrows to change modes. Most modes are at least a little interactive, but sometimes it is pretty subtle. After you've explored a bit, you may find you prefer some modes, or don't like some of them. We've thought of that!

SETTINGS:
Tap in any corner, then tap on the gear to bring up the settings page. This allows you to change (or disable) the sounds, enable or disable modes so you only see your favorites, or re-run the benchmark phase if you think it got bogus results.

SUPPORT:
See the support page. Feel free to email suggestions for display modes you'd like to see, as I enjoy writing new display modes. If you wish to report the app being slow or erratic, be sure to tell me what device you've got, and what it's doing.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Performance is not as reliable as I'd like.

PRICING:
The app is free. It used to have a donation feature, but it wasn't worth the effort of maintaining.

ABOUT THE NAME:
The name "Miracle Modus" is used by kind permission of Andrew Hussie. It is a reference to a device in his webcomic "Homestuck".

### 5/5 — I Miss This

*2022-07-16, version 1.2*

I sure wish this would come back on the App Store, I’d love to play around on this again.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work on newer devices

*2022-04-10, version 1.2*

Please update this app, I really like it but it’s inconvenient having to get my old ipad out and charged when I need this

### 5/5 — I adore this app...

*2020-09-15, version 1.2*

...it just isn't compatible with newer devices. I keep an ancient iPod Touch around literally just to have access to it. Still holding out hope that Seebs updates this beautiful app one day. 😢🌈🙇

### 5/5 — Great app, hope they upd8 for ios11

*2019-10-12, version 1.2*

Old review: It still works!

The problem is that the app was for older devices where the screens were shorter, so you just have to tap like an inch under the real corner and the gear and everything will still show up!!!

### 5/5 — RIP Miracle Modus

*2019-03-15, version 1.2*

I adored Miracle Modus when I could still use it—it was great for stimming and calming down—but it’s no longer useable on iOS 11, and there were some bugs with it in previous iOS updates. It was a great app!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2018-08-02*

Great app. Absolutely love it!!!

### 4/5 — An old favorite.

*2018-03-31, version 1.2*

I wish this app would be updated. I loved it so much when I first found it, but I can’t use it on the current iOS. Very calming to watch, i used to stare at it for hours.

### 5/5 — Great for anxiety

*2017-02-24, version 1.2*

I use this app whenever I feel an anxiety attack creeping up on me or to bring myself down after a sneaky one. I know it's been 4 years since the last update, but I love this app. Thank you.

### 5/5 — So relaxing

*2016-09-15, version 1.2*

Sometimes you just like to sit and watch the pretty colors.

(Thank you for the homestuck reference)

### 4/5 — Is sound necessary?

*2016-09-14, version 1.2*

This app is very soothing and a beautiful sleep aid for when I get restless and out of it. My only issue is I prefer sleeping to music with soft lyrics (mainly alternative or light rap) and the app won't play music out of itself. I want to listen to spotify and look at the colors, but all I can have is small dings every once in a while that sound similar to my text tone- which will keep me up all night.

In other words, this app would be perfect if it allowed me to listen to my own music with it open.
