My only complaint is the app is a drain on the battery. But the free part limits you to only dungeons, and the price to unlock everything needed for a proper campaign just seems astronomical. I think I’d like to see a subscription over micro transactions. The snap click of the when you get the dimensions right and you put it in place in hot snaps together. It’s amazing the coloring and shading is really good. I like the animated fire and the animated broomstick is really cute. I can’t wait to see where this goes. I’m hoping that I’ll actually be able to cast a fireball had a mimic but I will definitely be following this and supporting this. Would you please help me with that? ### 1/5 — ZERO STARS *2025-11-05, version 0.11.36* Can’t play as i can’t create an account. its impossible to create an account because during account creation process it sends a verification code to your email but when you go to your email to read the code, immediately afterwards when you return to the game app to finish the account creation process you find it has reset. If you try to login to see if it asks you to finish the account creation process, it says there is no account using that email. So it’s impossible to create an account. ### 1/5 — Micro transactions ruins the whole thing *2024-06-14* I downloaded it to give a shot. Mechanics are weird and kinda clunky, but the biggest turn off was realizing every stupid little asset has to be purchased. I just don’t support this model in general. Sell people a complete product. If you want to add stuff, then offer a premium version where you get stuff added over time just for being a premium member. Make a Patreon account and let people fund what you do based on the quality of the product. If you build it, they will come and so will the money you need to fund your project. So I really am not even gonna get into anything else that I didn’t like about it, cause honestly this is a nonstarter for me. Look into Encounter + if you want a great VTT on your mobile device, tablet or PC/MAC. Do better Mirrorscape devs. ### 1/5 — Loading nevers end *2024-04-13, version 0.9.76* Loading bar adjustable and game never loads. Iphone 14 pro ### 1/5 — Cool idea but can’t log in *2023-10-13, version 0.9.60* Log in seems completely busted. Trying to create new account to log in immediately closes login window. Using social to log in immediately closes login window. And if you try to log in using Keychain with the credentials presumably created when you tried to use social to login, it says no account exists. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t function *2023-08-15, version 0.9.57* If I tap and drag a mini it doesn’t place. If I click then click it doesn’t place. If I hold drag it doesn’t place. If I double tap and drag it doesn’t place. When I search in the mini library even for things. I have seen before such as dwarf I get no results. Menus frequently plaster over eachother and block eachother out. I cannot figure out what assets I have u less I already know to search for them by name. I’m Gona be honest it probably wasn’t possible to do a worse job making this app it does not do any of its functions correctly and is frustrating In Every attempt. And I haven’t done the math but the fact ever asset requires an additional purchase suggests it’s pretty scummy too. 0/10. No redeeming value. ### 1/5 — Premature and not ready for use *2023-07-26, version 0.9.53* Upon opening the app I am told I am low on memory and graphics are being down graded. Clear sign they are going too fast and not building for the best experience they can in their target platform. App is confusing and clearly meant to get as much money from you as it can. ### 2/5 — Micro transaction madness *2024-12-25, version 0.11.34* I really want to love this app. I unfortunately it’s a closed system fee on pure in system micro transactions. You can’t import maps from any thing, but dungeon alchemy is the obvious choice. You import your own stl only over priced hero forge stuff. It’s pure madness to try and build with, it completely lacks any kind of desktop portal to do layout. Basically all the VTT 101 rules got ignored. It’s too bad the AR has potential, but I would never buy into this as GM. Which raises a different question . Why is it always the GM who has to buy everything? The touch controls take some getting used to and while there are still bugs that need fixing this is an open beta. Devs and the community are quick to address issues and answer questions (through the discord server) There are plenty of features that are still in development. As the app stands now this is my favourite map tool beside dungeon Alchemist ### 5/5 — Augmented Fun!! *2023-07-26, version 0.9.53* This app is amazing! I’ve always wanted to have cool intricate maps for my players but never had the space to store all of the physical props. Now I can have all the different sets, mix and match them, to make maps ahead of time and then save for game night. No more keeping a build out on a table for days in between sessions and no physical storage needed when I’m done. This reminds me of what apple did to my CD collection! Its very impressive that such an ambitious project more or less works as designed day one of the open beta. Having all the content available for free for a limited time to play with is awesome. No more buying expensive tiles over and over again or having to 3d print them myself, which isn’t cheap either. I make some fairly priced purchases once and I can use the pieces over and over again in my D&D games. Able to play anywhere with my friends online. Have had the pleasure to be part of its closed Beta. Got to help test features and discuss things with the team. At every turn have been amazed at the thoughtfulness that they have put into this. Get blown away by the details. The fact that they take feedback and suggestions and deliver time and time again above expectations. This is an amazing app that allows me to have terrain and wonderful battle maps. Without having to store and handle all the physical pieces. It’s easy to use. Building things using all the terrain, and they just work so well together. Added features like lighting, fog of war, hiding assets until it’s time for players to see them. Thank you guys!
