## What is Missing Vowels?

A word game for the incurably curious. One category, eight clues, every vowel gone.

Read the consonants. Look at the category. You'll say Beijing before you mean to.

That's the game.

Shakespeare plays. Jazz standards. Periodic elements. The category narrows the field to a few dozen possibilities. From there, your memory is faster than any dictionary.

Some clues fall in seconds. Others sit until you look again. The ones that won't come can be passed. There's no leaderboard, no streak chase, no penalty for missing a day — just eight clues, one category, and the small click of recognition when a word finally arrives.

A new challenge appears every morning, Monday through Saturday. Long enough to wake your brain up, short enough to fit between a coffee and a meeting. Sundays are a tougher bonus puzzle for Garden Pass subscribers — one more challenge before the week begins again.

TYPE OR SPEAK YOUR ANSWER
Tap to type, or hold the microphone and say your guess out loud. Voice recognition is tuned to the way this game works — handling vowel ambiguity, compound words, and spoken spellings more reliably than a generic dictation engine.

A YEAR, LAID OUT LIKE A GARDEN
Every finished challenge becomes an eight-petal flower — one petal per clue, colored by what you got right, what you missed, and what you passed. Scroll back through your history and you find a slow drift of flowers and little traces you left behind. It isn't a streak counter. It's a record of showing up.

SEEDS AND THE GARDEN
Regular play earns Seeds. Spend them on markers and decorations, or to unlock a past day you'd like to play. Garden Pass — the app's optional subscription — opens the full back catalog (including every Sunday Bonus) so you can wander the archive without spending a thing.

SHARE WHAT YOU FINISHED
At the end of a challenge, share a small card with your score, the category, and a sample clue. Or share a snapshot of your garden across a week, a month, a year, or your whole run.

No accounts. Your history lives on your phone.

No notification spam. If you turn them on, they come only when there's a new challenge.
No spelling traps. Caps, dashes, accents, "is this one word or two" — if you know it, it counts.

This should help folks who are frustrated with the dictation mishearing you. You can at least be warned as long as you don't guess immediately.
