## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not detailed enough for me

*2023-10-12*

Missing all kinds of details normally found in the print version of San Diego’s protocol book. I would not recommend this for paramedic students, new paramedics or paramedics who are new to San Diego County.

**Developer response:** Hi 1surfer11, thank you for this feedback. We work closely with the California Paramedic Foundation that produces the protocol book. We will look for opportunities to incorporate this information where possible.

### 3/5 — Only useful for SD county

*2023-04-14*

When can we expect to see more counties available in the app? The UI is really nice, but as an EMT in Los Angeles County and a paramedic student in the inland empire, it won’t do me much good until some more organizations are available. But I’ll keep it downloaded and watch for when I might be able to actually use it.

**Developer response:** Hi Gage! We are rolling out Los Angeles shortly with more to follow quickly!

### 3/5 — Subscription Model? Hard Pass.

*2023-03-28*

Excellent app that’s unfortunately ruined by requiring a subscription.

**Developer response:** Hi TheDa e!

We are glad you like our tech and find it useful. The reason we are a subscription-based company is because the data of your EMS protocols is not static and changes month-to-month and year-to-year. There are constant resources applied to make sure that the application is serving you well and is up-to-date.

Our team is also rolling out new features consistently, all under the existing subscription cost. We have priced the subscription as absolutely cheap as possible, because our goal is to make these modern tech solutions broadly available for paramedics and EMTs. Thank you for taking time to look at our application and also to leave a review!

Sincerely,
MCP Team

### 4/5 — Progress

*2024-05-01*

App is coming along nicely, but update notes don't list what got changed, which would be good to see when you depend on an app for quick access to vital info.

**Developer response:** Hello,

Thank you for this review. Our software updates will note changes if there are any user-facing changes. You may also see a "syncing" message. These indicate changes in your organization's administration. They can choose to notify you of the changes or skip a notification if the changes are minor.

### 4/5 — Text Size Adjustments

*2024-03-10*

The recent update has added text size adjustments. This is great! I’d like a little more range, say down to 70%.

**Developer response:** Hi Jorden! We launched text size adjustments that you can make in your profile settings under text size. Please ensure you have app version 4.2.16.

### 4/5 — Text is too large

*2024-02-24*

This app does not follow system text size nor does it allow the option to modify text size within the app.

**Developer response:** Hi Jorden! We launched text size adjustments that you can make in your profile settings under text size. Please ensure you have app version 4.2.16.

### 5/5 — More Than a Protocol App

*2025-06-04*

The most difficult thing about MCP is that it’s not like any other protocol app; if you’re expecting to just browse and search for protocols or policies, than you will only get a fraction of what this powerful app can do!

As a Flight Paramedic for 14 years, this app has been a game-changer for me and the HEMS program I work for. The connection between protocols and meds makes it easy to go between a protocol and getting a drug dosage. Speaking of drugs…set the patient weight once and you’re set for the entirety of transport. All weight based meds will reflect the patient weight you set - this makes med calculation errors (think of that 2AM call that woke you up) a thing of the past. Calculating weight is also just as easy! If you have a newer high-end iPhone or iPad Pro, the LiDAR and camera will work to figure out the patient height and IBW. Probably the best feature though is the AI companion; click “Study” and you get quizzes on the fly! Support is quick and the MCP is always updating the app to make it better!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-02-25*

Ive been using the app for years as a good reference, but I actually use it way more with the AI study tool. Very helpful for those low frequency protocols that need refreshing.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2023-03-19*

It’s a nice looking and smooth flowing app compared to the competitors. The UI is well done and it’s easy to navigate throughout protocols, drugs, etc. Unless something catastrophic happens, I see myself using this over other apps and paper protocol book. Well done.

**Developer response:** Thank you for reviewing our application! -MCP Team

### 5/5 — Highly Functional. Every Protocol At Your Fingertips!

*2023-03-03*

Great functionality and very useful to help sift through cumbersome protocols in a timely and efficient manner. In a business where seconds can mean life or death… this is a huge help!

**Developer response:** Hi Kevodoc! We are glad the application is useful to your practice!

### 5/5 — Cool app for EMTs and medics!

*2023-02-10, version 3.4.1*

Cool application! Seems more readable than PDFs for sure. Definitely like the calculator.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review sd_medic! -MCP Team
