Since I’ve been here, I’ve yet to experience a weather forecast even remotely accurate. Even though Matt isn’t reporting on my local weather, his radars for my zip-code are helpful. But, for me - this app isn’t about my weather. It’s about feeling closer to home. I really enjoy the Mississippi live cams on the app both for iPhone and Roku tv. Sometimes it’s nice just to watch the traffic go by on the tv and see a little bit of home. The layout of the app is very nice and as always the people hosting the weather service are friendly and obviously passionate about what they do and extremely knowledgeable too. You can trust your families safety to them. **Developer response:** Thank you for downloading! Over time, we are trying to tweak the way that we can best utilize those notifications, and have taken a somewhat heavy-handed direction initially here. Luckily, you can turn off some notifications while leaving others on. In the menu in the upper right hand corner, if you click on the location pin, it will display your monitored locations, and there is a down arrow that you can click and then a pencil to edit the notifications. I especially like that the live video is at the top of the home page so you don’t have to go searching, and multiple clicks, during severe weather. It’s right there. It notifies you when they’re going live for the weather reports or severe weather. I really enjoy the live weather briefings. Matt & Gabe are able to discuss what they’re looking at as to why they’re making the calls they are. Way more info than you’ll receive from a local news station. Weather closings are also prominently shown on the home page. Thank you Matt! ### 5/5 — Notifications *2025-07-09* Only problem I see with the app , we need control over what notifications we get , I don’t like the ones every few hours . **Developer response:** Thank you for downloading! There is a way to turn some of those down and off in the menu in the upper right hand corner. If you click on your location, there is a down arrow that you can click and then a pencil to edit the notifications. The live severe weather coverage, fast alerts, and radar are top-notch. Even though it’s built for Mississippi, I’d trust it to keep me safe anywhere. It’s starting to force close to the point you can’t even check the weather!! ### 3/5 — Doesn’t need to alert you as much as it does *2025-07-06* It’s a fine app but it really doesn’t need to buzz you every day at 6pm and 10pm with click baiting headlines. Today it said… “At 6, will the rain continue?” That shouldn’t be a notification from an app I’m trusting to alert me to tornados and bad weather.
