## What is Mistake Board?

Mistake Board is a local-first reflection tool for everyday mistakes.

Use it to record small misses in work, communication, spending, emotions, and daily life. The goal is not to blame yourself. The goal is to turn one mistake into a reminder you can actually use next time.

You can:
- Pin a mistake as a note
- Write what happened, why it happened, and how to avoid it
- Keep active notes on a reflection board
- File resolved notes into your record library
- Review weekly patterns and prevention cards

Version 1.0 does not require an account. Your records stay on your device.


## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-22

Your records are safer and easier to find. v1.1.0 moves data to local file storage with a previous-generation fallback, adds complete JSON backup with merge or replace restore, searches across titles and review details, and lets you undo a deletion. Your records and backups remain under your control, with no account or server required.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-28

Review gains a Last 4 Periods trend chart that compares notes logged and filed in each period side by side, so change is visible at a glance. Action rules can now be pinned as your Current Rule, kept in sight at the top of Review and Prevention Cards, with one tap back to the source record.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-24

Review is now period-based: switch between the last 7 or 30 days, see notes logged and filed side by side, and compare with the previous period. When a pattern emerges, Review surfaces it and builds an action rule you can tap to jump back to its source record. The board gains a Board Focus metric and a tappable Recent Pattern hint that opens Review.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-21

Added record editing. You can now update the title, what happened, cause, prevention note, category, and severity from the reflection detail page, so each note can keep improving as you review it.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-06-29

Added lightweight export. You can now export all records or a single record as Markdown or plain text, then share it through the system share sheet to Files, Notes, or other apps.
