When getting messages from other members there is no notifications popping up. Especially when it’s on the iPhone and a lot of other users saying that the same thing about pop up notifications! ### 3/5 — Difficult to Use *2026-07-24, version 3.7.26* The app is so desperate and needy -- some 20 pop-ups and self promotion emails while I was just trying to make my first booking. I wanted to delete it but stuck with it because my friends are hosts. I must have entered my travel dates 12 times and also had to start over from scratch after leaving the app to get my credit card info since it doesn't use ApplePay. The Weezer dating side is worse; can't even check it out well before it's begging for 80 bucks. ### 3/5 — Currency *2026-06-15, version 3.7.25* I would prefer to use Canadian currency as opposed to Euros when booking. We stayed in the U.S. booked from Canada and it was processed using Euros. When it comes to final payment I found it confusing to know what exactly I was paying with figuring out U.S. exchange and Euro exchange rates. Confusing app after the Weere migration. *2026-03-17, version 3.7.23* Weere is completely useless if you don’t pay. Everything is locked and you need to pay a high amount of subscription. Most of the apps offer the basic functions for free while your plan is limited and extremely expensive. Funds taken. Host cancelled. Funds will take a week to be refunded. Now stranded ### 1/5 — I no longer trust this platform *2026-08-28, version 3.7.28* I wanted to support an LGBTQIA+ travel platform, but my experience with Misterbandb completely destroyed my trust in it. A listing advertised an “Entire place” and “Three-Bedroom Apartment,” yet checkout simultaneously stated “5 guests, 1 bedroom” while asking me to commit to a $1,570.94 non-refundable reservation. I contacted support before paying because I simply wanted to know what I was purchasing. I provided screenshots, followed up repeatedly, and even called and left a voicemail that was never acknowledged or returned. It took five days to get a substantive response. Misterbandb ultimately told me they could not confirm whether I would actually receive the entire three-bedroom apartment because the listing came through their partnership with Booking.com, and suggested I book there instead. I wasn’t shopping on Booking.com. I was shopping on Misterbandb. Misterbandb displayed the listing and was willing to take my non-refundable payment, yet could not verify what it was selling me or take responsibility for the contradictory information on its own platform. I decided to delete my account. In one final bit of absurdity, the app asked why I was leaving, gave me a box for feedback, and then the Continue button didn’t work. I wanted to trust and support a platform created for the LGBTQIA+ community. Instead, I’m leaving because I cannot trust its listings, customer support, or accountability when something goes wrong. ### 1/5 — App Update *2026-08-18, version 3.7.28* This app is a joke with the new update ### 1/5 — Never again! *2026-08-18, version 3.7.28* Used this again! Signed me up for a dating app that is $30 a month. Didn’t notice until it his my credit card at 1am! ### 1/5 — Bait-and-switch *2026-08-11, version 3.7.26* I wanted to help gay travelers and hosts. Important information about disability accessibility is often left out of the listings, the promotion that is supposed to come with booking through the app is literally 1% of what you think you’re getting. ONE PERCENT. It is deliberate dark design and I fell for it. All the safeguards are brilliant, customer service is excellent and even though the platform fees are a little high, I think it’s worth it for the service. I have made some wonderful friends and had some brilliant social interaction using the platform.
