MixHaven is a project management app built for music producers, mix engineers, and songwriters who are tired of juggling messy folders and half-finished ideas. Available on macOS, iPad, and iPhone, it pulls everything into one place so you can actually see what’s going on with your work. No more digging around for files or losing track of who said what. It just feels organised.

Conquer Production Chaos
Handle dozens of songs without losing your mind. From rough ideas to final masters, everything sits in a single view, colour-coded by stage. Tags make it easy to resurface tracks you forgot about but probably shouldn’t have.

Collaborate with Clarity
Leave time-coded comments right on the waveform, highlight exact sections, and share feedback that makes sense. You can send voice notes tied to specific moments, which honestly saves a lot of back-and-forth. Build playlists for projects and export them when you need to send things out.

This update introduces a new way to track your mix history, along with a collection of organization and search improvements across MixHaven.

MIX TIMELINE & ACTIVITY • A new color coded timeline runs alongside your Mixes list, showing exactly when each mix was created. • A Collaborator Activity feed keeps feedback, voice notes, and new mixes visible at a glance, right below the list.

PROJECT ORGANIZATION • Build a document library for any project: import PDFs, Word, Excel, images, and more, or just drag and drop them in. • Add web links and resources, like Spotify, Dropbox, or YouTube, straight to a project. • Attach photos at the project level, not just per song, with a full screen browser to view them. • Hide a project from every list, search, and the dashboard until you're ready to bring it back. • Rename a project in seconds from a quick right click menu.

SMARTER SEARCH • A new People category surfaces collaborators and artists from across your library. • The search pane now shows a live breakdown of your results as you type, with tap to filter categories. • Edits and deletions now update your search results instantly.

DASHBOARD & SETTINGS • Rearrange your Dashboard cards to match how you work with a simple drag and drop mode. • Settings has a redesigned, resizable sidebar so every section is always within reach.

Log Your Sessions
Keep a running record of every studio session with its own date and time. Capture the session type, whether it is vocal tracking, mixing, mastering, a rehearsal, or a meeting, and add a location, duration, and detailed notes so nothing slips through the cracks.

See What Is Next
Upcoming and past sessions now appear in a clean, color coded timeline inside each song, so you always know what is coming up and what you recently worked on.

Right on Your Dashboard
A new Studio Sessions card brings your next session and recent activity front and center, giving you a quick snapshot of your studio schedule the moment you open the app.

Your History Travels With You
Sessions are now included every time you export or archive a project, so your complete studio record stays with your work.

We also refined the Notes experience with layout and reliability improvements throughout.

Play any song straight from the list
  • Every song cell now has a play button on its artwork icon, tap once to start the song's main mix.
  • Tapping anywhere else on the cell still opens the song's mixes, exactly as before.
  • Available across the app: in your Project's Songs tab (list and grid views), and on iPhone in both Recent Songs and All Songs.

  Smarter playback queue
  • Starting playback from a song now automatically builds the queue from the surrounding list, so the Previous and Next buttons in the playback bar work
  seamlessly through every song you can see.

Quick Notes for Mixes
  Jot a quick note on any mix version with the new note icon next to each mix row. Great for capturing mix-session reminders, feedback from collaborators, or things to revisit. Notes are saved instantly and travel with the mix when you export the project.

  Lyric Transcription, Much Smarter
  • More accurate transcriptions on longer songs thanks to improved chunk-boundary detection, fewer dropped lines and cleaner stitching across sections.
  • Significantly faster on iPhone, the on-device model now runs on the Apple Neural Engine where available.

• Personnel Quick Edit
  You can now edit a collaborator's name, role, photo, and contact details directly from their personnel sheet, no extra navigation.
