### 2/5 — No idea

*2025-03-28*

It took 2 second before I was prompted with a paywall to choose my subscription. Some sort of freemium version would be much better and give me confidence on the product. I have no idea what type of experience this product provides.

I have a huge bar with lots of tastes. I would like to enter spirits from my collection and select flavor profiles and serving suggestions.

Fruity on the rocks
Tart shaken
Refreshing stirred

Or let me pick my glass
High ball
Rocks
Old fashioned
Coupe
Shot

### 1/5 — Mix it all together

*2023-07-26*

I was expecting to put the ingredients I have available in and have it recommend a recipe, but all it does is tell you to mix all of the ingredients together. It literally told me to put 19oz of alcohol in one drink…

**Developer response:** Hello Ajaypayne,

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal experience with our app. Our goal is to provide users with meaningful and enjoyable drink recipes, and it seems we missed the mark in this instance. ## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 5.1 — 2026-11-04

YOUR VOICE-FIRST MIXOLOGY COMPANION
Talk through drink ideas before you pour. Ask for spirit and mixer suggestions, describe the ingredients you have, and refine your cocktail or mocktail in a natural conversation. Hear your finished recipe read aloud.

UPGRADED AI RECIPES AND IMAGES
Drink crafting now uses GPT-4.1 mini, with cocktail images generated by GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Create recipes around your ingredients and preferences, with detailed drink imagery.

A SMOOTHER EXPERIENCE
Improved voice reliability, clearer microphone controls, smoother listening transitions, and better recipe layout. The animated halftone stays visible until your finished image is ready.

### 5.0 — 2026-08-31

Version 5.0 — a full redesign.

A NEW LOOK
Mixology AI has been rebuilt from the ground up. Darker, quieter, and built around the drink instead of the interface. Every screen has been redrawn.

RECIPES THAT UNFOLD
A recipe no longer arrives as a wall of text. It reveals itself a step at a time, so you see what you need for the pour you're on and the rest waits its turn. Tap any part of the order to change it, at any point.

VOICE, REBUILT
Talk to the bartender. Say what you're in the mood for — a spirit, something on your shelf, or just the kind of night you're having — and Mixology AI fills in the order as you speak. The whole voice experience has been rebuilt, with a new listening animation that moves while you talk.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
Clearer type and better contrast throughout, a first-run tour that points out what each control does, and a faster path from an empty screen to a finished drink.

### 4.0.2 — 2026-06-30

Small but mighty:
• Recipe screen layout polish — glassware and garnish labels now render cleanly on every drink
• Onboarding tooltips stay on top of the page — no more peek-through from section headers
• Backend tuning so the AI picks garnishes that actually match the drink (yes, S'mores cocktails get marshmallows now)

Pour on.

### 4.0.1 — 2026-06-01

Polish drop for 4.0:
• Paywall loads instantly — no more spinner wait
• Faster cold launch for subscribers
• Bottom-sheet ingredient input redesigned with quick-add
• Onboarding hints now have a clear close button
• In-app review prompt (only after a few crafted drinks — promise)

Thanks for pouring with us.

### 4.0.0 — 2026-05-22

Mixology AI 4.0 is a complete redesign — new visuals, smarter ingredient parsing, refreshed experience from the first tap.

What's new
• Mocktail mode — flip between spirits and zero-proof, the recipe adapts
• Tell us what you have — speak or type your shelf, get a drink built around it
• Champagne accents and liquid-glass surfaces throughout
• 3-day free trial, then Annual or Monthly

Existing subscribers transfer automatically. Pour with intention.
