### 4/5 — Pretty close just add this…

*2025-09-26, version 1.5.1*

I’d pay for the app if you just add maybe a retro mode that will make the app turn into different theme cassette players when turned sideways. Make the tapes animated where they actually turn and get smaller and larger as they play the songs, also there needs to be overlay blend options between the songs, as well as the intro you can record just add ai DJ effect options. Echos, pitch, distortion, etc. I Just created a playlist with a vocal intro. When I hit play it only plays the intro I recorded. It doesn’t auto play into the songs on my playlist? I have to manually hit play on the songs. Not sure if it’s a setting? Can you respond? Great potential…

### 4/5 — Almost there

*2022-05-11, version 1.1*

I like the idea however I would prefer if the app looked at my music taste and provided mixtapes that cater to me. You should also make the mixtapes auto play when I scroll on them rather than having to hit play and open up another window. Lastly I think that they should play a preview and that shorter mixtapes be promoted, some of the long intros on these mixtapes make me lose attention and I get bored easily

### 4/5 — Super Cool and Creative, just needs to be cleaned up

*2022-05-04, version 1.1*

I think this idea is super cool. I always wanna look for cool playlists and this is a great way to share and find playlists to listen to. The look of the app is a bit chaotic and the colors are a lot to handle but overall are really fun music app!

### 4/5 — Good! Clean Up!

*2022-04-27, version 1.1*

I like the idea of it, just clean up the actual design to sleek and clean

### 4/5 — Creative idea needs fine tuning

*2022-04-26, version 1.1*

This is a neat idea and well made app. The layout, graphics, and color schemes, however could use a bit of cleaning up in order to give it a more high quality feel. I think it is a great way to combine several apps and make them more appealing to mainstream apple users. If you are going for that audience though then they will want the app to have a more profesional design.

### 4/5 — Good idea!

*2022-04-25, version 1.1*

I use Spotify, and searching for playlists with the right vibe is a big hassle on their app. If this ever connects to Spotify, I think I’d have a good time with it!

### 4/5 — It’s decent

*2022-04-24, version 1.1*

I like it, but I don’t have Apple Music, soI wish there was a way to use it wit other apps.

### 4/5 — Great concept

*2022-04-19, version 1.0.5*

I think this is a cool concept, I like the sociability the app brings! I am an avid Spotify user so I don’t see myself getting much out of this app. Like a few other have said, the colors are super cute, but a bit over stimulating.

### 4/5 — I could see myself getting into this

*2022-04-14, version 1.0.5*

There’s enough said about the Apple Music restrictions. I’m a hardcore Spotify user so that’s a little sad to see.

The idea of scrolling through mixtapes is cool but the main page and the color schemes are a little too much to handle visually. Streamline it a little more and there’s something great here

### 3/5 — Good idea

*2022-03-29, version 1.0.3*

Good idea if you’re an Apple Music user. For the rest of us we’re left out of the party. Cool idea but I would love to see easier navigation to my profile, who I’m following, etc. I’d love to use this if it were more user friendly and worked with Spotify. As a dance teacher this has the potential to be a golden tool.

### 4/5 — Great alternative to just hitting “shuffle”

*2022-03-22, version 1.0.3*

I really like the ability to scroll through different people’s playlists. It’s great if you don’t know what you feel like listening to, and you are given lots of options until you find the vibe you’re looking for. The design is fun and there’s a sense of community which I enjoy.

I would definitely add integration for Spotify because I don’t use Apple Music and never will, so I am limited in my use of the app. I also think it would be good to have a “now playing” field somewhere so that as I’m scrolling I can still see whose mixtape I’m listening to/ what song I’m playing.

Great idea, hope to see this blow up someday!

### 4/5 — Review

*2022-03-10, version 1.0.3*

I think that the app is super easy to navigate, and it’s nice to be able to share playlist in one place with an Instagram or TikTok-type layout. I don’t use Apple Music, so I won’t be using the app, but I would recommend it to Apple Music users. I would say the difference between this and sharing playlists through Spotify is that this is used solely for the purpose of sharing playlists, and it’s all easy to scroll through. Nice app.

### 1/5 — Not a long lasting use

*2026-07-23, version 1.9.0*

In all honesty. This is something easily to forget. You have to pay to a whole another entity in order to use it. I see trying to put music together to share, but how long-term is this for someone to keep using? Most people stick with people they know to share stuff on social media. If you don’t know anybody defeats the purpose. Feels cold. Maybe fun for a week or two until you completely forget it and then pay for a subscription after the free trial in order to use this app. Which I gather you have to pay money in order to listen to other people’s music. The colors blend together to much and takes a moment to catch on where to go. It didn’t feel like a community to me to share. It is more like something to put mix music for yourself. When you could just go on Spotify or YouTube and do the same thing. Interesting that they only target iPhone users. When there’s a whole nother group of phone users to include.

### 1/5 — Apple Music trial doesn’t work

*2022-02-16, version 1.0.1*

I don’t have a Apple Music subscription so I tapped the free trial button and nothing happened. Restarted the app and still didn’t work, so not even sure what this app is supposed to do.

### 2/5 — Solving A Problem No One Has

*2022-06-04, version 1.2.1*

The idea is there, problem is I don’t know anyone that has this problem. Sure I want new playlists to listen to or for friends to make me playlists or I want to send mine to them, except Spotify already solves all of these issues. And as a negative critic of Apple Music, this app does not bode well for me. Overall could be a great app but isn’t

### 2/5 — Good Design; No Niche in Market

*2022-04-14, version 1.0.5*

As a music producer and DJ, I don’t see where the app fits within the market. Platforms like Mixcloud already exist where people can find mixtapes that are actually mixed together, and platforms like Spotify and Apple Music feature both admin-curated and AI-enhanced playlists that essentially function as mixtapes. Especially with the fact that the majority of music listening features require an Apple Music subscription, it seems like a colorful UI for feature-reduced Apple Music playlists. Looks polished though; good concept!

### 2/5 — Same As Other Music Apps?

*2022-03-03, version 1.0.3*

I was told to download this and review it for a project. I'm confused at the purpose of this app and how it differentiates from just creating a playlist on Spotify. I gave it 2 stars bc idk maybe I just don't get the concept.

### 3/5 — Fun, but not my kind of app

*2022-05-03, version 1.1*

I don’t have Apple Music so I didn’t feel like it was an app I wanted. You could use it without Apple Music but I was a little bit confused about what it did. It seems cool, but just not really something I would interact with.

### 3/5 — Fun idea, not sure about the format.

*2022-04-28, version 1.1*

Fun concept! Reminds me of the 8tracks days.
I have a minor point of feedback and a major point of feedback.

1. When you play a mixtape and scroll past it / browse other areas of the app, there is no music player on my screen to let me pause/skip/etc. I have to go all the way back to the original mixtape post in order to stop the music. It would be helpful to have one of those minimized music players thingies like they have on the bottom of the Spotify or Apple Music screen.

2. My major feedback/question is why the app is formatted like TikTok? TikTok is a platform designed for short-form content and is merciless in terms of its ability to skip anything that doesn’t immediately interest you. However, mixtapes are a longer-form medium that asks its users to linger a while to digest the content. Especially since the intent is to create a social platform, I would look for an analog in a platform or service that is better at retaining the attention of its users.

A final thought, not as much feedback, is that scenario/aesthetic playlists are pretty trendy right now. You can find many playlists on YouTube that are titled things like “when you’re a princess stuck in a tower” or something like that lol. Mixtapes are a storytelling tool (and often paired with other media primarily visuals) so I think leaning into that aspect could be good.

### 3/5 — Exclusive to Apple Music Users

*2022-04-25, version 1.1*

I think it's a good concept to be able to share mixtapes and I think it's a fun way to find new artists, expanding your own music tastes. The only down side is that you have to be subscribed to Apple Music, which I am not, so I only get to listen to a few seconds of a song and can't create my own mixtape. Wish it could be more accessible to Spotify users as well... For that reason, I will continue to use the Discover option on spotify to broaden my listening genres.

### 3/5 — Connect it to Spotify.

*2022-04-03, version 1.0.5*

The app is a cool concept, for people trying to find some new music, it would betting off you could use Spotify as well.

### 3/5 — Great Idea, Needs Cleaning Up

*2022-03-30, version 1.0.5*

I like the Spotify/TikTok feel to it and being able to share playlists with others. It’s “new” but also “familIar” which is great for product success. However, the UI is cluttered and the colors seem a little too much for my eyes, making it hard to know where to be going.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-07-05, version 1.5.1*

Great!

### 5/5 — Social music

*2023-01-14, version 1.5.0*

I like the audio introductions to the playlists made by the creators, it adds a personal touch

### 5/5 — Very fun

*2022-05-24, version 1.1*

It was so fun picking a picture, songs, and making a title for my mixtape. The idea really is fun. The graphics or the look of it looks a little outdated, I don’t know if it is just my phone, but when I press the any button it’s slow. Or scrolling through the different mixtapes was a little rough. I guess what I’m trying to say is the swipe effects should be more smooth. This was very fun!!

### 5/5 — Good idea

*2022-04-28, version 1.1*

I like the idea of making a mixtape and being able to share it. I think a way to make this really game changing is being able to use different apps besides Apple Music like for instance SoundCloud to add music that isn’t on some platforms can be all combined together.

### 5/5 — Super awesome!

*2022-04-28, version 1.1*

I think this is a fantastic idea. A lot of people may be afraid to express themselves through music because of stigma surrounding certain types of music. This app allows you to create those special playlists and share it to the world for people to admire. I use Spotify so it was a little tricky for me to get the full experience but I love the concept!

### 5/5 — Such a cool concept and app!

*2022-04-21, version 1.1*

I love the idea here and the team behind it, whoever you are. The interface is super well designed, and the programming must be flipping good because this app runs so dang smoothly! This is such a great idea that I never thought of, and the fact that it can connect to Apple Music is really nice because I feel like that gives the ability reach a wider demographic on Apple devices. I hope that this project can go places, and keep on doing what you’re doing!

### 5/5 — Love the idea!

*2022-04-19, version 1.0.5*

Such a fun concept. I love sharing songs / playlists with friends so I love the idea of this platform.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2022-03-30, version 1.0.5*

I love the look, feel, and ease of use of this app!! Runs smoother than iTunes and it has social features as well!! Well done!!

### 5/5 — great!

*2022-03-30, version 1.0.5*

love it a lot, but i don’t have apple music. if possible, they should allow spotify or other music streaming services

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2022-03-10, version 1.0.3*

I think this is a really great idea, and it was pretty easy for me to see what is what and to navigate the app. Potential feedback- - the account settings could be a bit more comprehensive, like choosing whether or not you want to see playlists that include explicit music and things like that - maybe an option to share private (or public) playlists with friends so everyone can add music to it and collaborate together? - again, I know it’s been said, but being able to use a Spotify account instead of Apple Music as the platform for the music would make it more universal, or even if somehow people could use one or the other - when I clicked the ‘remix’ button on someone else’s playlist after saving it, I didn’t see anything apparent that it did, nor could I find that same button again - an option to save playlists for offline streaming would be cool
