In actuality it just train wrecks one song into another. For Rhodes who don't dj train wreck is a term when u mix two songs and the beats clash and are not in sync and spouds like a train wreck. Not sure if the endless mix feature does the same thing for the paid version but don't see why it would be any different pretty much a waste of time ### 3/5 — Is coo *2013-03-20, version 2.1* But don't buy just get the free one... However, there should be no need for this. I had an older Pioneer headunit that supported Mixtrax from the iPhone out of the box. Now that I've dropped over a grand on the AVIC-8000NEX I need to spend an additional $4 for this functionality from my phone? I just hope this is fixed with the upcoming CarPlay firmware update. Works fine on my wife's iphone 4. Downloaded pc app, analyzed all music, installed and reinstalled App several times but says 0/445 songs analyzed. No support ANYWHERE, only FAQ's that won't help. After this cataclysmic failure of your App radio 1 ( I disappointedly have owned ) and your epic double whammy failure app radio 2 I now am swapping out my radio to another brand. This costly mistake cost me over $1500. And I am amazed Apple still let's you download your " APP " for your " APP" radio " especially with so many unhappy customers. Of course AppRadio is not related to Apple. This really should be more like a class action lawsuit as your product sold in store and updates makes this completely unusable. Finally Pioneer ambition and being remotely an "APPle" radio is so ridiculous. Do Not buy this radio! Originally gave a 5 star... Soon became more frustrated with the "parking break warnings" who uses the parking break anyhow? Especially in parked their garage!? Also, why such a loooooooooomnnmnngggggggg boot up? Like the guy waiting for me to back up out of a public parking stall has any empathy for " me " getting my app radio turned on. Seriously, it has a 1 minute boot, then you have to agree that 1 parking break on, then off, then on, then click OK . Are you kidding me!? Why should I get a workout to apply, pull parking break, disengage, reapply.. All this after the ridiculous 1 minute boot time?! What it does.. OK ( sounds more like radio quality... ) 1 plays pandora. Just plug in and hit pandora on your iPhone. 2. Plays iTunes library ( have to click on iPod icon ) The rest is a mess... Really. What drives me more mad is the inability to delete the " beep " I mean, if you can change the wall paper, change the font in the firmware.. What's up with the annoying beep with volume control... Imagine, listening to a song that you want to turn up, instead of turning a knob you click ( which is ok ) but it beeps, beeps, beeps... Every time you push + or - . What's more of a liability is having to click back to the iPhone to " Allow " when you plug phone into appradio! I'm not going to talk about the bluetooth and don't even think about using SIRI with it... Useless. It could be seamless... ### 1/5 — Major bugs (not minor) finally fixed *2012-04-30, version 1.1* Had to wait a whole year for them to fix the bugs, and that was on the paid version. Free Version: *2012-12-13, version 1.1* I downloaded the free version and MIXTRAX does exactly what it says. Once started it analyzes songs on your device. I had to restart the analysis after an error, after that It reportedly was able to analyze 1604 out of 1862 songs on my iPhone and created three Mixes to choose from, "Beat, "Chill", and "Thump". I've only listened to the Beat Mix so far and it provides OK transitions (better than 2 sec of silence, i'll take it). Simple and Works for what I wanted. I have a Pioneer receiver that doesn't have/support MIXTRAX on it BUT I'm able to connect my iphone to my car's USB and play it that way. Not having to skip a bunch of songs or spend the time to make a consistent playlist, the app does it for me. From the previous reviews I'm lucky it found most of my music, perhaps everyone's contributions before me beefed up Pioneer's server content. Next I'll be getting the paid version, downloading this to my Macbook Pro and doing my entire library.
