MJ Actuary is a scorekeeper for Hong Kong Mahjong, Hong Kong-style Taiwan Mahjong and Running Horse. It does not play the game — it settles it. Record who won, from whom, and for how much, and every payment is worked out for you. HONG KONG MAHJONG (13 tiles) Count your own faan; the app converts it. Half-spicy or full-spicy doubling, a cap you choose, and three ways to split a discard win — 全銃, or either half-銃 convention. Self-draw collects double from all three. Minimum faan to win is configurable. A 包 switch covers robbing a kong and 包牌, where one player carries the whole hand. Count your faan as usual and the app does the rest: the doubling table (half-spicy or full-spicy), the cap, and who pays what. A win off a discard splits three ways depending on your table — 全銃, or either half-銃 convention — and a self-draw collects double from all three. Minimum faan to win is yours to set; three is standard. There is a 包 switch for the two cases where one player carries the whole hand: robbing a kong, and 包牌. Tap it, name the player, done. No dealer bonus, no streak — the dealer keeps the deal on a win and, by default, through a drawn hand. Also in this release: • Player avatars now fill their circles instead of floating on a colour disc • The History tab has proper round badges, with the hand number set into the tile instead of squeezed underneath ### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-29 Running Horse (跑馬仔) is here — a whole new way to keep score. Also known as 槓牌, Running Horse has no hand patterns and no fan at all. Every action is worth a fixed amount you set yourself: self-draw, concealed kong, added kong and exposed kong. Tap a player, tap what happened, done. There is no fan picker to scroll. Horses (獎馬) — after a self-draw, flip up to eight horse tiles. Each one that hits adds another full self-draw, so a lucky hand can pay nine times the base. Enter how many hit and the rest is worked out. Winner takes the deal, and a drawn hand keeps it where it is. No round winds, no dealer streak. Also in this release: • Playable game modes now come first in the mode picker • Every Running Horse value can be re-tuned to match your table • Win off a discard is off by default, matching how most tables play ### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-10 Special rules from the Hong Kong-style Taiwan rulebook are here. Multi-Win (一炮多響) — when one discard is claimed by two or three players, record them all in one go. Press and hold a player to start, then tap the others who won off the same tile. Every winner enters their own hand value, and the Double Win / Triple Win bonus is added automatically. Instant Events — Snake, Triple Dice and the whole Chase family now settle on the spot, without waiting for a hand to finish. Find them next to Kong in the scoring sheet.
