### 5/5 — Excellent learning resource

*2026-06-10*

I find the method highly effective. I am learning a great deal at a comfortable pace, especially when compared with other apps. This is a good way to learn grammar!

**Developer response:** Thank you, we appreciate your review! All the best with your learning!

### 5/5 — Best resource out there

*2026-03-29*

Similar structure compared to Anki but less tedious and a lot more professional than what you would find on Anki. Huge number of audio sequences spoken by natives. Locks in on the important stuff unlike Duolingo, so no spelling bees or stupid reward system - huge plus. The yearly subscription is well worth it if you're invested into the language. Wouldn't take you more than a year to go through all the content anyway. It's the single best resource on the market for Norwegian if you want to go from A1/A2 to B2. Huge bummer that its sibling Mjølnir Swedish hasn't yet met enough commercial success to fund another sister app, Mjølnir Danish.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback!

### 5/5 — Great app and support

*2025-12-08, version 1.5.6*

Been using the app for some time now and have really made some progress with picking up Norwegian. Had a problem with the app but the team quickly and helpfully responded to the issue!

### 5/5 — Early Review

*2025-11-15, version 1.5.6*

Only done one session so far but after trying Duolingo and some other language apps I can say for definite this will be the one to help, I love the examples not only in norweign but also in English and it helps get the pronunciation as close as possible which I think makes this app more valuable over others.

### 5/5 — Fills the gaps that Duo can’t

*2025-11-10, version 1.5.6*

I’ve been learning Norwegian with Duo over the past year. It’s been great for increasing my vocab, but abysmal when it comes to explaining why something is so.

I have several books about Norwegian grammar but I struggle to focus on them these days.

Mjølnir was recommended to me in a Norwegian language group so I gave it a go - SO glad I did.

I’m already used to spaced repetition in other topics, so having that capability for Norwegian is really helpful.

I also had a 1:1 session with one of their tutors and the attention to my pronunciation was excellent. They also explained the why things are pronounced the way they are. We also did some reading and translation which really highlighted why I need this app to become fluent.

I don’t think there’s one app to rule them all; but Thor’s hammer does a great job of smashing through 💥

### 5/5 — Takk

*2025-11-09*

Great app. Hope you’ll add some more material for b1 and b2 learners soon!!!

### 5/5 — Very good

*2025-10-01, version 1.5.6*

This is surprisingly good. If you are moving to Norway, start this app immediately you can choose how much you do every day, wether you do a little or a lot, just try to do it daily. It will really stick. Things are explained simply and they are pronounced by real people. Its worth paying for because you can tell that the people behind it really care.

### 3/5 — Great app, incorrect subscription pricing

*2025-09-28, version 1.5.6*

This does a great job at reinforcement learning and I am looking forward to using it more. Breaking it down into the proficiency guidelines that track immigration is also very helpful. I just subscribed for a year, though, and was disappointed and frustrated. There were two pricing levels offered, one at 7/month with a yearly subscription, or 12/month at a monthly rate. I opted for the yearly subscription, and then had to approve the charge, which was 110.99 for one year. This does not track. Even with a currency difference (I am in Canada), this is incorrect. I also have a USD credit card I use for these purchases. So the way the currency conversion is done was disappointing. That is not just an Apple thing, it varies by app. App itself = thumbs up.

Update in response: None of the prices indicated that I was bring quoted US dollars rather than Canadian dollars initially. And it is understandably frustrating to be quoted one price, then click and find a very different price, all just labeled $. If the first price is labeled USD I would not have been surprised. And, I could have had a chance to pay with USD instead of CAD. It costs money, about 4%, every time currency is converted to pay. So it would have been more efficient if the price had indicated currency. I had to work that out on my own in reverse, after being charged (and being charged 4% more than necessary because of the currency conversion on my canadian card). It is hopefully a pretty easy change to
indicate currency on the quoted price. I almost didnt subscribe because it just looks kinda scammy to be quoted one price, click to pay, and get a much larger number. I thought it was an error.

### 5/5 — Takk

Great app. Hope you’ll add some more material for b1 and b2 learners soon!!
