It replaced the bus service I once had where I live. It’s very difficult to get a booking due to high demand and the app is inaccurate in informing people when your driver will actually arrive. When you get in the vehicle it’s impossible to know when you will actually reach your destination. I’m rarely ever on time for work. The service has been running since 2020 and it’s not getting any better. I miss having a reliable bus service with a timetable and affordable ticket options. There is not even a day pass option for mk connect unlike for Arriva. I’m sure the service is saving the council money, but at the cost of other peoples’ jobs! ### 3/5 — Usually late *2023-11-18, version 4.11.12* Drivers are usually late. The ETA always shows 19 min and it’s being showing this bug since forever. The Cancel ride button doesn’t work in iPhone SE. And it’s not possible to call drivers. An app error it says. I had to wait 20 minutes on a phone call just delete my account because the app is so buggy you can’t even do it yourself without having to contact them. The waiting time is never accurate and the bus is either too early or too late. It’s very hard to judge. As a replacement, its been pretty poor. You have to sit at the app and keep refreshing until something comes up, rather than putting in a request and just keeping it up until its accepted. Whats more, its not reliable at all and completely sporadic in its timings. Its a terrible replacement for core services such as buses and trains. I have nothing else to say, that’s how poor it is. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-03-31, version 4.17.109* Just spent the past hour attempting to get an mk connect spam clicking the book button and just kept getting “we’re currently experiencing very high demand” I use this app fairly often maybe once twice a week and I can say for certain these drivers are not using their vehicles to their full availability, I will get into a 8 seat mk connect and only 3 of the seats are filled other than the driver. This is a great app especially because of the unreliable busses but this is starting to get worse than the busses not being able to get anything. ### 1/5 — Rides stopped showing *2025-02-10, version 4.17.2* This was a really good service when it worked. You had to time it right and be patient but if you allowed for the time it was a great way to get from a to b without bearing the public bus, and particularly helpful for those with additional needs like myself. It now doesn’t give a ride option but just shows the regular bus service, which if I wanted to just use that I wouldn’t be on this app!! ### 1/5 — Throw the app away *2024-11-28, version 4.17.2* Just throw it away, fails you when you need it the most. Also, if you were given an estimated pick up time, and you start doing other things to meet up with the timing, the estimated time may change to earlier. And the driver will only wait 2 mins even if he is picking 15 mins earlier. Example: I planned to drop kids off in school 8:00am before heading to work. So I booked a ride with estimated pickup 8:17am. The ride arrived 7:58 and waited for 2 mins before leaving. That is 17 mins early. It is tough to work with such a wide change in timelines. Secondly there is no estimated final destination arrival time at the point of booking. The arrival time you see on booking is the time the driver will be arriving to pick up point. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2024-03-13, version 4.11.12* How come I’ve been sat here over 1 hour trying to book a connect. This is not the first time happening, it’s happened over 11 times in the past two weeks, till the point I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve been sing mk connect for the past 4months and that issue is too frequent for me. I have tried to use it maybe 30 times over the last year and only managed to book 1 ride. Drivers are very helpful and maintain patience while getting onboard. I like to travel through MK Connect as it means I can get familiar with different areas of Milton Keynes at no extra fare.
