Can’t use landscape :( please fix. ### 4/5 — Good interface, new bug *2020-07-07, version 9.0.0* Good interface, generally easy to use. However, as of today the screen remains in portrait mode irrespective of how my device is turned. I have to choose the same text AT LEAST 3-4x and click the highlight option before it finally highlights. I have to select highlight many time before it actually highlights. This function works great on computer but app it sometimes takes many attempts before I can highlight what I want to highlight. I have found that it does what it needs to do, but there are may problems. For one, there are no note taking functionalities within the app, which is actually okay because I prefer to take notes in a third party app, but what’s highly frustrating is that this app does not have split screen enabled for the iPad pro.. So I’m unable to read alongside as I take notes on my iPad. It is sort of mind boggling to me that, in 2019, this app doesn’t allow such a basic functionality. I would really like to see better functionality from this app in order to make it more useful as a study tool. It could honestly be so great, but instead, it’s just okay. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Functionality *2020-05-08, version 7.1.0* I’m assigned monthly sets of questions, that I can only do on a PC. The app could easily add the ability to do those questions on iPad or iPhone, but for some reason, quizzes that are assigned by GME have to be done at a computer. I’m baffled at how much this doesn’t read like a book, give you a page count, or allow the same functions as a pc. ### 1/5 — Terrible on ipad *2020-05-07, version 7.1.0* The highlighter works once every 4-5 times, making it’s use very very time consuming and frustrating. This has been an issue for months, but has not been fixed. For something that costs as much as MKSAP, especially to medical residents who can barely make ends meet, makes my disappointment bigger. ### 2/5 — its buggy and not as smooth as mksap 17 *2019-06-30, version 3.1.0* can you please just listen to feedback and add a highlighting tool its been way long overdue, mksap is by far the best content in its field just a shame crucial technicalities get in the way.. ### 3/5 — Highlight, colors, underline, split screen *2021-02-05, version 12.0.0* It would be great if you could add highlight mode where you could highlight as you read instead of highlighting the text first, and more colors would be useful. I’d a like an underline function as well. These assignments show up on the desktop version but not in the app. I do the vast majority of my studying on my phone (like with UWorld) - PLEASE make these assignments available in the app. ### 3/5 — No “assignments” tab *2020-07-17, version 9.0.1* My residency assigns questions in MKSAP. There is no way to review and complete assignments. Simply no option for it. Any idea how to go back to previous version? ### 3/5 — Assignments Tab Needed *2020-04-25, version 7.0.0* My residency program uses custom assignments function on the website to tailor questions to each resident based on what rotation a resident is on. But the app itself does not have anyway to access these assignments. Would be great if this function could be added to eliminate the need to sign in on the browser. Split-screen functionality would also be useful on iPadOS. Otherwise a decent port of this content to iOS. ### 3/5 — Font size and highlighting and assignments *2020-01-15, version 5.0.0* Need larger font size adjustments also a highlighting feature would be nice.... Used it to study for my initial board test, used it for recertification test. App has made it super easy to study on the go, during downtime at work. It’s also super easy to submit for CME and MOC. One thing I wish they would update is ability to zoom more for images, specifically EKG. Image is too small, and without ability to enlarge more, it’s impossible for me to see details of EKG on the questions. Also, I wonder if it would be possible to be able to see all the tables at the end of each section. They are full of information, but it’s hard to high light them for review later on. Lastly, need to be able to edit notes. I look forward to MKSAP 19 to come out later this year. ### 5/5 — As always - MKSAP delivers *2020-12-19, version 11.0.0* MKSAP has always been one of my favorite self-education programs. I highly recommend the MKSAP complete program from ACP to all medical specialties. Sure the app could improve. However, it is the content that really counts. Many user requests have been addressed, highlighting, font size, ... The one stop shop for ensuring board (re-)certification. This is what I’ve waited so long for. And works in both the app and the online version and text you highlight in one version show up in the other. And they made it easy to find all your highlighted text. Now all that is needed is book marks function and good backward and forward buttons. If I leave a page to check out something in a different section, it’s not simple to navigate back to my original location). ### 5/5 — Great app *2020-03-04, version 6.0.0* I think at this point MKSAP is so far the most powerful study tool I have ever seen. Question, flashcards, virtual dx and text of all specialties! And of course finally highlights are here! Overall have been using iPad and iPhone version of this app and seems like IT developers team are in the right direction! Would be nice if we could - reset flashcards and virtual dx, - sort flashcards, virtual dx, and questions by incorrect only, so we could work on gaps. ### 4/5 — Decent but has some bugs *2022-03-31, version 15.0.0* Good questions, just very hard to highlight within questions and answers.
