## What is MLA?

Stop texting each other about what's on the calendar — or what's for dinner. Mental Load Assistant is a smart shared planner built around the way people actually share their lives. Instead of handing someone your entire calendar, you organize events with color-coded tags — then share exactly the tags that matter, with exactly the people who need them.

■■■ CREATE EVENTS THAT FIT YOUR LIFE ■■■
Add events with full recurrence support — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Attach a location, notes, and one or more tags to any event. Set it once and the app takes care of the rest.

■■■ TAG-BASED SHARING ■■■
Create color-coded tags like "Family," "Work," or "Date Night." Share a tag with anyone — give them read-only access to stay informed, or write access to collaborate. Revoke access instantly. No messy calendar subscriptions, no over-sharing.

■■■ PLAN MEALS & BUILD SMART SHOPPING LISTS ■■■
Save your favorite recipes — ingredients, steps, cook time, servings, and a photo. Drag recipes onto a weekly meal plan, then turn any plan into a shopping list that automatically combines duplicate ingredients and converts units for you. Check items off as you shop, organize them by store or aisle, and see planned meals right alongside your events on the calendar. Share recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists with the same tags you already use — so the whole household can cook and shop from the same page.

■■■ BUILT FOR TWO (OR MORE) ■■■
Whether you're coordinating with a partner, co-parenting, managing a household, or keeping a small team in sync — Mental Load Assistant keeps everyone on the same page without putting one person in charge of remembering everything.

■■■ SMART, SECURE & NATIVE ■■■
• Face ID / Touch ID login for fast, secure access
• Push notifications to stay on top of what's coming up
• Quick Action: create a new event directly from your home screen
• Dark mode and light mode, matched automatically to your device
• Optimized for iPhone and iPad with a fully responsive layout

■■■ BUILT TO LAST ■■■
Mental Load Assistant runs on a reliable, purpose-built backend. Your data is yours. Tier upgrades and additional features are coming soon.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Mental Load Assistant is free to download. An account is required to use the app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-13

Shopping List has its own tab
Tasks and Shopping now live side by side under Lists. Drag to reorder your shopping items, drag them between groups, and watch checked items drop to the bottom of their group so what's left is always at the top.

Location search that knows where you are
Searching for a shop now shows the branches nearest you first, with the distance next to each one — no more scrolling past a store three states away to find the one down the road.

Arrival reminders are more precise
Reminders now trigger closer to the shop itself rather than the surrounding area.

Fixes
• Tapping a location suggestion sometimes did nothing — fixed
• Fixed an issue that could sign you out unexpectedly after a dropped connection or a brief server hiccup
• Shopping list groups have clearer spacing, and both lists scroll properly to the bottom

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-04

Things should just work. Now they do, wherever you are.

Weak signal, no signal, a parking garage, the subway, the far end of a soccer field — the app doesn't care anymore. Add an event in the pickup line, check off a task on the way home, plan the week's meals from anywhere. It saves the instant you tap, and quietly catches up on its own once you have a connection again.

• Your whole day is always there — events, tasks, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists and tags
• Add, change and delete anything, anytime; nothing waits on a spinner
• No "couldn't connect", no failed saves, no lost work
• Everything catches up by itself — nothing to tap, nothing to remember
• If you and someone you share with change the same thing while you're apart, the most recent edit is kept and we tell you what happened
• Add a recipe photo whenever you like; it takes care of itself later
• Build a shopping list from your meal plan any time you want
• Faster throughout, because your day loads straight from your device
• Bug fixes and performance improvements

Everything is still built around today, not a month grid you have to decode.
