There are a lot of ways that a task can be bypassed, like accidentally clicking something more than once. ### 3/5 — My personal opinion *2026-04-01, version 12.14* It’s good but this app has its own share of bugs 1: sometimes, when you finish a lesson (game) and do really good while expecting a 3 star finish, it kicks you out and makes you refresh the page, deleting you progress. 2: This might not sound like a bug, but it’s similar to one. The games are terrifyingly hard. You don’t understand the pain of getting 2 and a half star when you got everything right. 3: the videos are bad, and I mean it. The videos are so boring, most of the time people just skip it anyway, like frfr no one wants the stinky educational videos like “why is the sky blue” YAY like I’m fr losing 6 minutes of my life watching why the sky is blue. First of all, I already know why the sky is blue, second, I don’t care. I have Chinese classes on saturdays and it’s rly not that bad for school on Saturday.it all make sense once u go in person. I go to this community college in my state (idk if this app only goes with my school) and I get to sit with my friends. I’ve been in it since kindergarten and I’m in 4th grade now,s o yeah. Don’t judge the app if u don’t take the in person class. I went to china in February and was able to talk to my family there pretty clearly from thos app and class. Don’t treat this app too poorly, and also don’t to stuff very fast like press buttons continuously or repeatedly. It helps with glitches. You probably shouldn’t use this is you don’t actually attend the MLP Chinese school and if you don’t really speak Chinese. I didn’t give it a really high rating because it lags a lot and glitches, too. If your taking classes through a teacher with this, you know how hard the homework is, and it’s not cuz it’s actually hard, it’s really because of how laggy, low quality, and literal gibberish speaking. I’m from China and I know how to speak Chinese, I was legit js helping my friend using this app, and the spacing on the books? Really? It’s like 3 inches long and you’re expected to write a paragraph. I’m doing 4th grade right now. *2026-08-12, version 12.17* Bro, all other homework is BORING. But MLP makes your homework fun and you don’t even notice you are learning. ### 5/5 — Pretty good (obv don’t use just on its own, there is a textbook too) *2026-06-30, version 12.16* It’s good practice for tests and I enjoy the outfit creator thingy, but for people that get one star in the games: maybe you’re just too slow, so either get better or get better reflexes. I’ve gotten two and a half stars even if I get everything right; it just means I’m too slow. Also to get max coins just do all the practices, gives you a bigger advantage during the auction. A 4+3/4 *2026-03-23, version 12.13* First, I have no idea WHY people are giving 1-2 stars because even if it has some bad stuff, they are working on improving it so don’t believe those guys cuz theirs is so outdated:like 7 years from now-there’s now SOOO MUCH UPDATES which means it’s improving it. So for new raters, at least give a 3 star because it’s pretty decent. It has educational games that help some kids get not-bored and has timers to set speed which encourages kids to get it fast and RiGhT. Although they added tap-sound pronunciation in 12.10, the voices are different and have different accents and sayings for some particular words which IS kind of annoying. The worst thing is that it glitches sometimes on buttons when you click it but it’s still ok because the reading at the beginning is understandable and clear. So guys, it’s called homeWORK because it’s WORK. If you want WORK to be FUN, weeeeeeell, when you grow up you’ll know. This app isn’t supposed to be fun, but it is at least KIND OF so just be happy about it. So overall, it DOES help kids as well as me to learn PuTong Chinese. Like, it is supposed to be educational so it’s not supposed to be fun, so why would you complain that it is boring??? This app is also very organized if you do it correctly, and you do it WITH the paper homework as well. It is not designed for everyone in the whole world to do it, it is designed for people who actually take the class. And the videos aren’t terrible either! I know middle schoolers who take the class and LOVE the videos and they learn a lot about it. Also, the videos that cost “money” don’t cost actual money so don’t pretend it is, besides they are pretty cheap and the older grade levels don’t cost any money. Also, you could’ve just watched the free version instead of the one that cost money. And, the app has so many different games that are super fun and the pronunciation of the bot or whatever speaker person is super loud and clear.
