I mean, I did get the halftime push notification for the game; however, the live activity notification still indicated the game is at 45+3'. Now REQUIRES an account to use the app. Slower, harder to use, no more box score. This version is all about being flashy, no consideration for usefulness. Whatever you're looking for, you can probably find it faster in a more convenient format with a Google web search. All of the other 1* reviews for v9.x are spot on. The app does remember which conference my club is in, and the team shield logos are bigger now when checking scores - so it's not complete and utter rubbish. Those logos had been much too small for much too long. Obvious that whoever is responsible for this app doesn’t use it to follow MLS. Disappointing as the app used to be useful and increased my engagement in downtime moments. ### 1/5 — Have to have an account *2025-10-21, version 15.4.0* I don’t like when you’re required to sign in to see content. Just go the website ### 1/5 — 🚫 MLS *2025-09-09, version 15.3.6* I can't support MLS anymore. But I can live with just my free weekly Timbers highlights. I just choose to pay far less money for the top soccer leagues in the world, that's much higher in quality. Fact (per month): Bundesliga, Serie A, EPL, Champions League, USL, and US Open Cup combined, is cheaper than MLS Season Pass 🤯. ESPN+, Paramount+, and Peacock all get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for their TV deals. ### 1/5 — Fix the scores!!! *2025-08-17, version 15.3.3* Great app if you don’t want to read the scores!! Don’t know if it’s a screen formatting issue but when you’re looking at all the scores in the matches tab the numbers of the scores are cropped out so you have to go into each individual match to see the score PLEASE fix this!! ### 1/5 — Quality *2025-08-10* Worst refereeing of any pro sport. If MLS wants to be seen as a top tier league, they need to fix it fast. ### 1/5 — Nothing Loads *2025-07-14, version 15.1.4* Lineups have stopped loading entirely, even once the game is underway. Similar issues with stats and occasionally matches. I’ve stopped using the app and started pulling up the website to follow games I can’t watch live. ### 1/5 — Slow *2025-07-13, version 15.1.4* Years ago this app was usable. Now it’s so cluttered that it is slow to load and very clunky. ### 1/5 — No aggregate scores? *2025-07-10, version 15.1.3* I have provided this feedback before but it is absolutely ludicrous that this app does not track aggregate scores in two leg series like the playoffs and cup competitions. I would rather get my soccer scores from other sources so I don’t have to do forensic research to find out the result of the first leg. This app should not have been released without this functionality. ### 4/5 — Match Lineups not working *2025-07-09, version 15.1.3* Please fix the lineups for matches, for some reason is not loading, keep showing the animation like is pulling the data but there is no timeout, add 3 seconds timeout on the loading animation and show some info if don’t have the info ready, something like “no lineups yet” ### 4/5 — Nice new design *2025-07-09, version 15.1.3* App looks great. The notifications for starting lineups don’t work. I only get notifications for the Galaxy which I follow. For fantasy it’s helpful to get lineups for every game. ### 2/5 — Worst sports app *2025-07-08, version 15.1.3* This is the worst sports app that I regularly use. The design makes it impossible to find anything of interest on a regular basis. I look for Team of the Matchday, and I have to search all over the place to find it. Power Rankings of teams doesn’t even bother to show what number each is ranked. Is it that hard to do? I enjoy watching the review of questionable red cards and fouls (by Weibe?) (I forgot the name of it, but I just looked and can’t even find it in the app to tell you what it’s called). My request is that you organize the app into clearer sections that make it easy to find and navigate to. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I'm not creating an account *2026-08-18, version 15.5.12* Required account creation just to open the app. I want to see standings and stats. Not get daily emails and have my information sold. ### 1/5 — Kinda pointless *2026-07-23, version 15.5.9* Shows basically the same info as ESPN or other sports apps and I prefer the Apple Sports app for live scores. You should at least be able to hear each team’s different radio broadcasts but this app will only take you to Apple TV. ### 1/5 — Drained 30% of my battery in the background doing... what exactly?! *2026-07-21, version 15.5.9* The performance of this app is egregiously bad. How does it waste so much battery even with background activity disabled? Not gonna renew, dying league before it could even take off. SMH ### 1/5 — Unnecessary and Soul-less *2026-02-12, version 15.4.5* Get this app if you want to check some scores, see a few highlights, read AI generated articles, and not play any fantasy soccer games. As the league has grown they have become more concerned with profit than content, community, and creating MLS “sickos” who are obsessed with the league. They scrapped their podcast, dumped writers who care about the league, shut down their fantasy game, got rid of local media coverage for teams, all to make a few bucks. It’s a soul-less app for a league on its way to becoming soul-less. TLDR: You don’t need this app ### 1/5 — No Good Analysis *2026-02-11, version 15.4.5* MLS had good writers and podcasts, but now they are gutting them for AI slop. Seeing some of the errors makes me upset, because they had good writers. I don’t want to know about substitutions and yellow cards. For the first and only time in my life someone has actually not only responded but taken action to fix an issue that I have reported. Very impressive! MLS sets the standard from which other app developers should be judged. As it turns out, I had just found a work around which was to select the minimum size font for the phone which would then allow the continue button to be seen on screen. But the developer fixed the issue by allowing scrolling on the page We’ll done! Five stars! Now could you work on fixing the LA Galaxy please! Update 14.2 locks up the app on the info page about the latest enhancement called Live Activities. When you try to contact the developer you get a page at mls.com that says Megged. Try to contact MLS, fuggetaboudit. One star because the developer and MLS obviously don’t give a cr@p about their customers because they don’t want to hear about any problems. So typical these days. So sad. ### 5/5 — Catch all the action here *2023-10-10, version 14.19* Postgame highlights are awesome, perfect way to get up to speed quickly on all the action. ### 5/5 — Great app with very tight integration to MLS Season Pass *2023-08-22, version 14.13* The app is a great source of news and highlights. Also, the app will seamlessly drop you into the Apple TV app to watch live games. ONLY DOWNSIDE is that the app icon on the Apple TV box is tiny! Feels like a graphic error but it looks weird. Please correct it! ### 5/5 — Ticketmaster technological link to the D.C. United Application bugs and fixes *2022-07-26, version 13.3* There is a bug where tickets put up for sale in Ticketmaster through the D.C. United Application sometimes aren’t able to be recalled back to the application without customer support. This hinders two processes: 1) Those that want to recall their tickets and attend the game(s). 2) The process of selling the tickets back to the D.C. application from Ticketmaster so they can be resold to other D.C. United attendees, which is bad both for D.C. United (through lost business from those that would attend and who may spend money at the stadium) and the customers (supporters) who bought the original tickets lose their money. In short, the link between DC United to Ticketmaster works, however Ticketmaster back into the D.C. United app has bugs receiving either the unsold or wanted tickets. Fixing this bug would make the D.C. United App more functional, which is good for the D.C. United in economic efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Regardless, I rate the app 5 stars for going above and beyond the needs of creating such an application with limited time. You pick your favorite teams, players, create a fantasy team in the app and can even purchase tickets from the app. You see the whole mls and usmnt schedule and you can customize the app any way you would like.
