How is the screen locked? Can't rotate orientation.

My daughter loves to play except she’s getting really frustrated because there’s absolutely no sound coming from the app. We have tried everything to get the sound to work but nothing has helped. Couldn’t even find somewhere to contact the developer for help. Other than there being no sound it’s great for the age group I’m sure it would be even better if there was sound.
