### 1/5 — App hardly correlates with exhibits

*2025-08-31*

This app is garbage, it hardly correlates with the exhibits and adds next to nothing. It honestly just makes navigating the museum more confusing.

### 5/5 — Great for English speaking travellers

*2025-06-16, version 1.3.0*

The app provided a full tour of the museum with English narrations. Aligned well with the museum layout and helped to teach me and my friends a great deal about the Chilean dictatorship.

### 1/5 — Human rights? I doubt the app developer understand the meaning

*2025-02-28, version 1.3.0*

It is deeply concerning that an app from a human rights museum has labeled Taiwan as a province of China in parentheses, explicitly indicating that Taiwan’s human rights are perceived as inferior or non-existent. This forced labeling of Taiwan as part of China undermines its sovereignty and the dignity of its people. The developers of this human rights museum app should reflect critically on whether they genuinely uphold human rights, as they have, in this case, perpetuated a narrative that dismisses Taiwan’s autonomy and historical struggles for self-determination.

Taiwan’s journey has been one of continuous resistance against colonial rule, consistently striving for independence. From enduring foreign colonization to the imposition of martial law, Taiwan has overcome significant oppression. Only after a long and tumultuous period did Taiwan transition to democracy, eventually gaining the rights to free speech and many fundamental human rights. This progress is a testament to the perseverance and resilience of the Taiwanese people, and any attempt to disregard or diminish Taiwan’s identity and history, especially through platforms that claim to represent human rights, is an affront to the struggles and achievements of the Taiwanese nation.
