### 4/5 — Can’t understand

*2022-10-20, version 2.2*

It’s good that the author has updated this app, I’ve enjoyed it for many years.. but it no longer includes English and I don’t know how to translate or what the buttons do. Please will you create instructions your English speaking customer can interpret.

### 4/5 — Instructions for 2.1 10/13/2022

*2022-10-14, version 2.1*

This app still works, but it's even more difficult to use. It is now all chinese text. The ability to play video full screen was removed. The ability to transfer files into the app without a computer was removed. You also have no control of the playlist order. Even if you add files one by one in the order you want to the phone or the watch, they will be rearranged randomly. Which makes the audio player's sequential, random, repeat functions kind of pointless.

What it can do: Play audio via apple watch speaker in the background, even from music videos, and continue from track to track without user interaction. This alone makes it worth learning how to use it.

 INSTRUCTIONS:

The only way to make good instructions would be with images, but I'll give you some important details:

1.) Transfer files into the phone app using itunes file sharing on windows or finder on mac.

2.) Click the lower right chineese symbol in the phone app to go the the screen to transfer files to the watch. Click the chineese symbol next to a file name to transfer that file to the watch. Transfer one file at a time, with both the phone and watch apps open. Prevent the watch from going to sleep by moving the crown regularly. Turn off bluetooth in the watch settings before transferring to force wifi transfer which is faster.

3.) Once your files are on the watch:

Left screen file list - Use files
-----------------------
Top button - Go to audio player
Left button on a file - open file in audio player
Right button on a file - open file in video player

Audio player
------------
Top button - Play/Pause
Left button - track back
Right button - track forward
Bottom button - 3 option button that cycles through Sequential, Random, and Repeat One.

Right screen file list - Delete files
---------------------------
(Push the left button, then the right button to delete a file.)

4.) To make background audio function when you leave the app, I find I have to play a video for a second then go back to the audio player and start the music.

### 2/5 — This app would blow up. And would have changed the world

*2021-08-02*

Could be a life changing app if worked correctly

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2021-06-17, version 1.6.3*

First of all figuring out how to get the music to show in the app is difficult in of itself You apparently gotta pull down on the menu after copying music over to its app folder Which it doesn’t make clear at all Also it doesn’t support using your on-device music library so you’ll be taking up unnecessary storage to send the music over to your watch Not to mention the visual bugs like if a track name is too long the send button in the app overlaps it which can be very visually in unpleasing And sending music takes an absurd amount of time and you gotta make sure the connection between your phone and watch stays established by keeping the app open and in the foreground, For reference one lossless audio took around 6 Minutes to fully transfer The instructions are on a Chinese website and most people using this probably aren’t gonna understand them so you basically don’t get documentation unless you know Chinese And the app design looks pretty ugly too just in general I originally gave this app one star because I couldn’t even figure out how to get it working but even when you get the hang of things it’s still just not that good In the future hopefully music directly on watch speakers will be implemented seamlessly into the music app but for now this is your clunky solution But hey, at least it’s something

UPDATE: So I tried transferring my whole music library and it literally took three hours, I
was next to the devices during that time and periodically made sure they didn’t freeze up or anything, I also made sure the watch had more than enough storage, I kept the phone on and the app active but there was nothing I could do about the watch screen going off but it seemed like the songs were transferring just fine, three hours later the last song “Successfully” Transfers over and I go into the app on my watch to see if they’re there and….Nothing

The music didn’t transfer over at all and nothing was showing on the list within the app

I’ve concluded this app can only handle transferring a few songs at a time and isn’t worth the money

### 4/5 — Workaround for Series 6

*2020-11-21*

I work in an environment where you could not bring your phone or Headset. This is a tutrorial so you can play music on the speaker of you Apple Series 6.

First you have to know that the player wont play your music on music player BUT you can play it on VIDEO PLAYER.

But it’s gonna repeat that 1 music, no next button.

The workaround is merge your songs, I had 30 songs merged.

1. Merge your songs in your PC using Shuang Audio Joiner (google it) in 64 KB! (No more than that)

2. The open itunes, connect your phone. On PC Itunes go to File Sharing, upload your merged songs.

3. Make sure the mmplayers app is open in your watch, then go to mmplayer app on your phone, and press send all. (You dont have to turn off bluetooth)

And that is it, you can now play music on your watch speaker

### 1/5 — Followed the directions. Doesn’t work at all. Won’t play any music.

*2020-11-14*

Followed the directions. Doesn’t work at all. Won’t play any music.

### 4/5 — Great app, just needs small UI fixes

*2020-11-13, version 1.6.3*

Great app. Would give it 5 out of 5 if there could be some small changes to the Watch UI:

The buttons aren’t scaling very well on the Apple Watch 4, 44mm, so they are even smaller than before, since the watch OS 7 update.

The delete (crush) button is right next to the ‘movie’ button, so it’s very easy to accidentally delete a file from the watch - could this be swipe to delete instead?

Other than that, it’s very good. I like the new fast forward/rewind feature with the Digital Crown in watch OS 7.

### 1/5 — Useless and doesn't work

*2020-10-23*

Nothing works even after following the in app instructions and the instructions in reviews. It's impossible to send files to the apple watch using this app.

### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX

*2020-10-07, version 1.5.8*

There are many people who love this app, including me, please update it so we can use it under the latest firmware

### 1/5 — Great app. NEEDS UPDATING.

*2020-09-18, version 1.5.8*

DOESN'T WORK IN WATCH OS 7. Please fix it.

Before watchOS 7
It’s a great app. Especially as an app I was using before had stopped one of the features I needed it for.

I am glad that the developer has updated this app with iPhone X support. And by adding WiFi transfer. (Which is 100 times faster) it has fixed the problem it had with large files

I have improved my rating from 3 to 4 stars now as it works with larger files and also don’t need iTunes anymore on computer. You can now just download a file and share to this app and then sync to the watch.

If the developer can implement the next 2 wanted features I’ll give it 5 out 5

First most important. Please update your app. It’s been two years since you last did an update. Apple will remove it soon if you don’t.

Second implication. It would be great if you can add fast forward or rewind buttons. Like 30 seconds or 1 minute skip forward/backwards. Very useful as I have some files that are 2 to 3 hours long.

### 4/5 — INSTRUCTIONS!!

*2020-08-05*

The app is great when you finally figure it out and that’s why I’m going to do a step-by-step on how to get it to work since it doesn’t show up at all in the browser in the app.

1. Go to settings, scroll down to MMPlayer change the Document Storage to “On My iPhone” while you’re here, turn off Bluetooth (this will be asked).
2. Download whatever music/videos you got. Transfer the files to your Files folder (videos saved in the Photos app, press the square with an arrow on the lower left, scroll down, save to Files).
3. Now if you go to MMPlayer, you will see the folder for the app in the browser. Drag the files you want into that folder.
4. Now go to the main page of MMPlayer and scroll down, it will refresh.
5. Open the app on your watch.
6. Go to the app on your phone and “Send All”

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2020-07-06, version 1.5.8*

Doesn’t work, won’t sent files. Doesn’t explain why it doesn’t work, help link goes to a dead site. Don’t waste your money.

### 4/5 — It worked

*2020-06-07, version 1.5.8*

Working on watch series 3, a bit of time taken to understand how to use it. Have only tested music files.

### 3/5 — Works but confusing

*2020-05-31*

The apps translated from Chinese it seems which means some of it is very confusing to understand, but it works.

### 2/5 — Instructions on how to use app please

*2020-05-22, version 1.5.8*

No idea how to use this if I can’t figure. Out I want a refund

### 1/5 — It would be great if it worked, but it doesn’t.

*2020-05-21*

It’s a buggy barely-translated maze of broken features stuffed into the WORST user interface I’ve ever seen. The fact that it costs actual money is a shame. I tried all of the suggestions of the other review, but nothing works. I would have had more satisfaction from throwing my $.99 into a garbage disposal. At least THAT would have played some sort of sound.

### 1/5 — Chinese only?

*2023-09-24, version 2.2*

There was no indication I saw in the app description or the screenshots that this app has all its buttons in Chinese. I’d love to use this app from how it looks in the screenshots, but either English needs to be added as an option, or ideally the buttons need to be made into graphical icons, using the regular media symbols and such to make it transcend the language barrier. If the developer cannot do that, I would like a refund please, although my preference is to get the app I paid for in a usable form, as the outdated screenshots indicated I would.

### 5/5 — The Only Way to Play Audio or Video Files Without iTunes

*2020-03-24*

If you are here like me, you found through Google that this app is the only way to sync and playback audio or video files directly to your Apple Watch without iTunes or the built-in Music app. With Apple moving to a more open file system, it is strange the Watch is still so locked down to iTunes. MMPlayer is the answer. Getting it working, however, can take some doing, so here are some pointers:

1. I urge you to change MMPlayer’s default folder to your local storage on your iPhone. Go to your iPhone’s settings app, scroll down and traverse into MMPlayer’s settings, and set “Document Storage” to “On My iPhone.”

2. In MMPlayer, under Browser, copy your media files to the root (top) location of your MMPlayer folder. This should be under On My iPhone->MMPlayer.

3. This is the trickiest part since it is readily apparent. Before you can copy these files to your Watch, you need to have these files listedunder the MMPlayer tab in the app. You might think, I copied the files to the app folder, so why are they not being listed in the MMPlayer tab so I can copy them? Answer: swipe down to refresh. The app will scan its folder and then populate all the valid files.

### 5/5 — Apple Watch series 5

*2019-12-11*

Works perfect on my new Apple series 5 watch, its nice to play a song or short movie without having to Bluetooth speakers. But the Watch internal speaker is not a good replacement for the Bluetooth headsets

### 5/5 — Nice

*2019-06-06, version 1.5.8*

Works fine but took a bit to figure out how to transfer music onto watch. I use it every day for music on watch without needing headphones. Would love a bit of an update to be able to have folders for music instead of having all music mixed together.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2019-04-21*

Listening to audio or video from the built-in speaker of apple watch gives us a wonderful user experience without having to use any bluetooth headset or earphone. Please keep updating the functionality to render excellent value for watch users. Thank you for your hard work and time.

### 5/5 — Awesome!!

*2019-02-13*

I can’t believe Apple wouldn’t give us the option to play music on the watch’s speaker, because it actually sounds great (series 4). Thank you for this app, it’s super-useful! I hope you continue to develop the interface. If I could request just one small update: make the “order/random” button the same size as the other ones 🤗

### 5/5 — Works like a charm!

*2019-02-12, version 1.5.8*

Great app. Though I wish it had fast forward slider/scrubbing for music. Keep up the good work.
