Difficult to log in every time. When you load your saved username from passwords app, it doesn’t recognize that you entered a password so you have to type another character and delete it. First off the app never stays logged in, but more importantly why would you even require someone to create and account just so they can use the feature of scanning a ticket to see if it’s a winner. With a recent software update, the scanning ticket feature doesn’t even work. Registration is broken, I had to do that on the website. After finally getting registered, I found out that the Ticket scanner does not activate the camera and so it doesn’t work. At least you were able to collect all my personal info during registration so you have that going for you. Horrible. I want payment for my time wasted trying to use this garbage. ### 1/5 — This is quite literally the worst app I’ve ever used *2025-12-17, version 1.0.25* Everything about how it functions (or doesn’t). It’s so lazy — how about autofill your address per personal info? No instead how about you scroll through a list of 10,000 cities to find yours. And then after you endure that, it doesn’t work. You can login on their site with your user name but not the app. The app says the for requires an email- even when it’s an email you’re logging in with. Cant submit second chance or check tickets during constant maintenance blackouts ### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve ever used *2025-10-17, version 1.0.22* I’m not trying to hate but it is literally the worst app I’ve ever used when it comes to working as advertised. The scanning doesn’t work at all and the app is slightly laggy. The scanning should be an easy fix so I’m not sure why it’s even a issue, the whole point of me getting the app was for the 2nd chances and I just end up having to put in numbers manually, but don’t mess up to much because the app will lock you out of making entry’s if you do too many invalids. ### 1/5 — Bugs at every turn *2025-09-21, version 1.0.21* Oof this app is just embarrassing bad but I guess what do you expect from state government. The scan feature requires you create an account, but the only valid city I could find was Minneapolis so I guess when it comes to the state of Minnesota everyone lives there. Then after creating an account by making up an address and verifying my email, it sends you back to a login screen where wouldn’t you know it, my username or password is wrong. There is a reset password link, but tapping that did nothing. I give up. Save yourself the trouble and just check your tickets manually. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2025-09-11, version 1.0.19* I downloaded this app to scan my Powerball ticket, but after setting up an account I’m unable to verify my e-mail address. It’s now sending me a link to reset my password, but that link won’t open on my phone. Whatever. I give up. App deleted. The developer contacted me and wants me to contact some call center to “fix” my issues. I downloaded the app to check them. Turns out i have to register and give my personal information, including my address just to scan a ticket. They could have excluded that function from requiring registration as I don’t need to give my address if I check my tickets at the store. Bad experience with the app and bad experience with MN lottery overall. And please don’t tell me I need to register or need my address because of second chance drawings. I don’t want that. Like the multitudes of other people in the reviews, I just want to scan the ticket. Please don’t even bother explaining the second chance opportunities. ### 1/5 — Can’t even log in *2026-06-07, version 1.0.32* For some reason app logged me out. I can’t log back in. Right now the camera doesn’t work even after giving permission. My mom got locked out of scanning tickets for no known reason at all. I got locked out because they didn’t recognize my (correct) password so I had to make another account. Then they didn’t recognize that password either so I had to change it before getting locked out again. Now I can’t even scan anything. Would be a great app if it worked. Also they should give notifications on second chance entries, whether you won or not. I never hear anything so I don’t know if I ever won and wasn’t told. I’d also like to throw away cards that expired. Fix your app. Seems like someone in government let their kid design the app, and not someone actually qualified for the job. ### 1/5 — Lottery is a waste of money *2026-04-25, version 1.0.32* Throwing money down the drain stop wasting your money and save they make millions you get pennies and there auto response is funny you know they don’t read your reviews! Could be filed under “worst user experience” contests. Won’t even accept email addresses autofilled by a password management app. Then, when finally logged in, it failed to even scan a barcode. Makes you put all your info in to create a login, logs you out to “confirm” then tells you it’s wrong. Do not waste your time ### 1/5 — Embarrassing *2026-01-20, version 1.0.25* Go through a long and clunky registration process(list of every city in MN that you have to scroll through) only to get an error message “registration failed. Please try again later”. Happened twice. The Director and Board of the MN State Lottery should try to use their own app, then meet with the app team. I’ve been using this app since day one and I’ve never ever had an issue with it. I love not having to go into a store to check my tickets, especially when I have a lot of Them. Used it to scan a bunch of scratch-offs to verify winners and losers, and it worked great. Fast response on scans, also used it to enter 2nd chance drawings easily. Didn't have a problem entering registration data so not sure what some of the others are doing . I read the reviews before I downloaded and for me everything ran smooth. I started with scanning two winners multiple times and every time it was correct. So far I’ve made it through most of my scratch offs and have had no problems or glitches. I can’t wait to explore more and see what else I can do.
