In July of 2021, the state of Missouri implemented Bill 262, imposing an increasing gas tax every year until 2025 for gas purchased within the state of Missouri. Starting in 2021, up to 2.5 cents per gallon of purchased gas in MO will be refundable, and increasing by 2.5 cents in each fiscal year until 12.5 cents per gallon in 2025. Taxpayers must claim a refund by completion of the Missouri Motor Fuel Tax Form (MO4923- H).

The irony is; by using the app you’re trying to save about 3% off a gallon of gas just to have the app steal 20% of that🙄

**Developer response:** Thanks for trying the app. MO Gas Tax Back is free to use for tracking receipts throughout the year. We charge 20% of the refund only when you choose to generate your completed form, and the exact cost is shown before payment.

You keep 80% of a refund that may otherwise go unclaimed. If the service is not worth the cost to you, there is no obligation to pay. Payments help keep the app running and allow us to continue providing support.

I downloaded the app and signed in our cars. Used it once. Went to enter another receipt and I was kicked out of it. 
I tried signing back in and it would not allow me to sign in. 
I tried forgot password to get signed in. It said I had no account. 
I gave up.

I had low expectations for the app, but after my first year of using it to test it, it really does work well! The app itself is basic enough to use with AI help reading receipts. When it comes time to file, the app gives you very specific instructions to file. I received my check within 10 days.
