With Companion Link and DejaCloud for 3 years now, it works OK but I truly wish you guys come up with a mobile friendly app. Its about time. Please come up with a map/geo location for contacts for the PC and app version. Please download the CJournal app to get the map ideas. You have a great and unique platform, make it better. ### 1/5 — Worse than useless *2017-11-13* Why tease me? Don't release something this pitiful. I've been using Act since it came out in DOS. I more and more frequently ask myself why. I just don't get why it's so hard to produce a calendar and contact list that mimics the native iOS apps. Apparently it is really, really, really difficult. ### 1/5 — More ACT! Crap *2017-09-18* Took several calls to tech support to set up. Does not dial phone numbers. Will not show my notes. Will not show a weekly or monthly calendar. I cannot find out how to schedule from iphone. No way to sync from iphone. Sure would be nice to click on the task and easily call someone. Strange interface setup too. I would suggest anyone looking to get act on their mobile or tablet to set up the web interface it is far better. Act need to pull their finger ### 1/5 — Poor program *2017-06-15* I've been an act user for 19 years. Recently switched to their hosted services and tried this app. It is pretty much useless. Needed to call a contact today and it wouldn't dial the number correctly. Then entered a note. After confirming it the program does nothing so I keep clicking it. Later I check my main database and the history is in there 10 times. I like act but this really needs a lot of work to be even remotely worthwhile. ### 1/5 — Not great... *2017-05-05, version 1.2.1* Unfortunately, although the web version of Act! How do you build an app with no calendar? Then click on a contact, and you get to see about 4 fields ... wouldn't I want to see a little more about the contact that we are meeting with? If I wasn’t forced to use this I wouldn’t touch it. Completely destroys my workflow with its clumsy slow interface that only works on a laptop which means when I’m running around making sales calls, it is useless. ### 1/5 — 😢 *2024-03-08, version 3.0.7* Very disappointing! Never loads and keeps stalling! I had to login to web interface to find a single contact this took 20 mins ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-01-22* For as good as ACT is, this app is terrible. An calendar update was just implemented but the mobile app doesn’t sync. Never connected. ### 1/5 — Poor Functionality *2020-09-02, version 2.9.4* We have been using Act for over 15 years, most recently enduring the appalling upgrade to v22 and numerous updates to fix multiple issues. Act companion is poorly executed and lacks functionality. At best a list of contacts, would be better if they developed an integration tool that worked better with existing software such as Outlook or Apple rather than trying to deliver a stand alone product that fails. With draw it or develop it please. ### 1/5 — 20 year ACT! User. *2020-07-12* Horrendously Horrible especially when compared to Act! I simply cannot understand how to schedule an activity. Thanks!! ### 5/5 — Does the job! *2017-01-11, version 1.0* Gives me access to alerts, customer and prospect contact information and allows me to make notes onto the CRM system. ### 4/5 — Getting better *2019-06-24* Lots of new ways to search - by contact, Company, groups, opportunity and more. Look up histories and related docs. Fast links between related items. Business card reader and heat map. ### 3/5 — App is Clumsy but Adequate for Phones s and Emails *2024-02-29* Contrary to some comments Act Companion is searchable by Company and by Name. The operation is not intuitive but once you learn it it is adequate. Also the phone numbers for contacts that have multiple phones are there too, not intuitive but easy once learned. Adding a contact has the same issue, it is not intuitive but once you learn it it is adequate. I prefer Act Companion over the several after market programs I have tried. The good thing is it is free and is always in sync with the database. ### 3/5 — Getting Closer *2021-03-16* Much better and faster than earlier versions but no landscape ipad version? In todays day and age? And still hard to add a new activity and it is cumbersome. This could be a great app for field sales reps but needs improvement. Now I can’t call direct from the app with my phone. The options are so limited it is useless. It is like they don’t use their own product in the real world, just programmers in another country ### 2/5 — Progressing *2017-06-22, version 1.3.0* We upgraded to Act! v19 to access this app for our sales teams. Though it does solve some of the concerns we have with using act Web through the iPhone browser the app is currently very basic. Because of this we currently haven't rolled it out to our teams. We will be keeping a close eye on the next few updates as the app has a lot of potential and is making good progress.
