Mobile Data for iPhone and iPad enables data collection to improve productivity in business and government. Mobile Data client connects to Mobile Data Studio, an integrated mobile project design studio, powerful wireless client and server, and data management system. Programming skills are not required to develop projects in Mobile Data Studio (MDS). Mobile Data projects are developed in Mobile Data Studio by a simple 'drag and drop' process. Three example projects are provided here in Mobile Data: * 'Track Assets' in the field using GPS and camera images, and record the operational status of the assets; * 'Field Service Report' to deploy, manage and record repair and maintenance of plant and equipment. Add parts and prices for service in the field, using Mobile Data Studio; Dynamic Data function can manage thousands of parts; and * 'Office Workstation' to assess the ergonomics and safety of computer workstations; each assessment point is supported by guidance notes for informed and consistent assessments. It takes extra time to re-do the task while on-site. ### 5/5 — MDS *2012-08-09, version 7.1.1* MDS is a fantastic business tool, for anyone collecting data in the field. We have been using it for 2 years, and saved at least 25% of manpower time in collecting or typing up data. Our engineers can fill out a worksheet, order parts, check previous jobs and send pictures and messages back to the office because we have integrated it into our service software and our customers get a PDF of the jobsheet they signed before the engineer leaves the premises. Now that we have it on iPad and iPhone, we have a great looking product on a very reliable platform that is even easier to use for our mobile engineers. With nearly 200 deployments to mobile devices and some 15 different tasks loaded, we have been totally happy with this software over the years and it does not surprise us that it works so well on the iPad.
