## What is Mobile Doula?

OVERVIEW : 
Mobile Doula is the premier client management system for Doulas on the iPad/iPhone/Mac.  Doulas have clients fill out their information on an iPad, iPhone or through the Mobile Doula web-based client portal from any computer. Mobile Doula has forms that capture birth & labor preferences, health and pregnancy history, sign financial agreements, consent forms, privacy notices and anything you can possibly think a Doula would need to record. IT'S TIME TO GO PAPERLESS!!! 

Best of all, Mobile Doula does not need to be connected to the internet to work like other web-based client management systems do. So if you need to attend a labor at a home or a hospital with no WiFi, NO WORRIES! If there is no internet connection the app will work just the same. Later, once an internet connection is detected all of your data will backup to the Mobile Doula servers and other iPads logged into your account will automatically get updated with the new data you entered!

• NOW you can go PAPERLESS!! Import PDFs and create a document template by dropping text boxes, check boxes and signature boxes wherever needed on the PDF to make it fully interactive. Once you create your document templates your new clients will be guided to sign all of the documents as part of their sign up process after they complete their health history information using only their finger or a stylus. 
• Messaging feature records all emails between client and care provider under client record
• Use new Chat feature to instant message your clients.  Message will not wake you at night unless client indicates it's urgent.
• Use new sign off feature to lock records. 
• New Audit features shows every single field change, who did it and from what device since the creation of any record. 
• Generate reports on your practice statistics, including number of clients delivered, outcomes and transfer rate. 
• Export your data as an Excel spreadsheet so you can utilize it for your own purposes such as reporting to the state, creating your own statistical analysis or tracking any other metric such as average visit duration.

I love this app...I can update it anywhere...I can easily see what my last conversation was with the client and all the things she was dealing with so we can update the status and give recommendations. It provides the gestation, a color bar at the top to indicate boy or girl, it has a place to put baby's name (love that).   There are questions included in the app that I never asked but are now including in my routine visits. I'm still finding new things all the time which is awesome.

This is not at all user friendly. Signing up for a trial doesn’t go through Apple, so no way to track as you normally would with app subscriptions. I’ve now been charged $17 for two months and have not used the app at all. The screens are tiny and difficult to read. This is a great concept, but would be better as a website rather than an app.

There’s no indication, on the App Store page, that the Mobile Doula app costs money.  You don’t find out that, after the trial period, that the app costs $17.99/month, until you have already downloaded the app.  It isn’t until you go to the creator’s website that you find out this information.
I’m not keeping this App as it’s really expensive as far as fees go.  

When you open the App, you go to the sign-in page.  There’s no way for a new user to sign-in.  You need to go back to the App Store page and find the link to the creator’s website to set up a password.

I was 2 seconds away from developing my own app before I found this one. So far so good and I hear they are responsive with suggestions so I’m definately excited to use this and see where it goes and get better with time becuse it’s already great
