Not for verifying fake IDs
As a bouncer I collected 23 fake ids over the weekend from various states. All 23 scanned. It was laughable considering what some of these fakes looked like.

The fake id’s will scan just like real ones.
Worked for PDF417 but not mDL QR
No problem reading PDF417 the crossword like barcode on the back of licenses. But it didn’t decode a Cal mDL. It kept spinning and the request just timed out.

I’ve tried numerous times to get this to add my portrait or a copy of my license and it won’t do it! And apparently once you leave the app it doesn’t retain any info! Not real handy!
