It is a nice setup, but too many issues for the amount we need to pay for it. It will crash for no reason and you lose what you are doing. ### 2/5 — Usually functional but needs attention *2025-06-11* Long time PDR premium subscriber here. PDR is where this app got on the map, my experience is they are trying to expand their user base into other more common services for a broader user base and the PDR usefulness hasn’t improved but the price has gone up. Obviously today the system was down and that sucked but it happens. I’ll convey my issues as a PDR shop owner and my experiences through the years. Number one is a big one, R&I times is generic and it’s way past time for an update here. If it’s not addressed soon I will be discontinuing my subscription and moving to CCC. That’s the big issue and it hasn’t been addressed since around 2016 or earlier. My second gripe is this, I’ve only called customer service once when the service was down years ago. The service representative told me the reason they hadn’t had time to address the problem with the pdr estimating part of the app was because their team had been too busy with adding the additional services like detailing, wheel repair, touchup and other add ons. I get it, there’s a much broader user base in those fields, but this was a PDR app to begin with and I’ve eaten the price hikes for the same service through the years without any attention to the generic R&I times. It may not be a big deal to most but some jobs we write with the R&I listed are so far off of what’s actually required it costs me money on both ends. Paying techs for the additional R&I actually required, and not getting paid for those additional hours. Sure, I can manually count the time and send another supplement request, but it would be much more efficient if it worked similarly to CCC. After all that said, I don’t want to change the system I use, but I will review these aspects soon and I may be making a change if 200$ a month doesn’t afford me this basic service. I hope someone in charge reads this review and if these issues are addressed I will come back and change my rating to 5 stars. And I will take the time to edit this review and rave about the excellent service. All in all it’s usually a functional app but it’s not worth the premium I’m paying right now. ### 2/5 — Used to be way better *2025-03-28, version 6.5.39* It’s so cool to put 9 cars into an estimate for the app to freeze and restart, delete all the work you’ve done so far! Hand written estimate would have been better 🤦🏼‍♂️ ### 2/5 — A once great app has gone down hill fast *2024-09-30* 5 years ago this was the best app you could find for a pdr company. Now they’ve upped the cost and the features they charge for don’t even work. The comp pricing feature is missing tons of information and doesn’t even have the correct colors for vehicles that are 3 or 4 years old. I’ll be exploring other options unfortunately. What was once a great app that offered more than any other is now just unreliable features and poor customer service for about 40% more than it use to cost ### 3/5 — Decent *2023-05-05, version 6.5.21* Decent for sure. But the parts section in the app is a joke at the moment ### 5/5 — Great customer service *2023-04-07* I haven’t got to get too much into all the features of the app but customer service is great. They get back quickly and was very easy to follow along during the one on one walk through to get going. Having a actual person to talk to in these days of never ending menus and “chats” is really refreshing. As far as estimating the one or two I’ve written for PDR seems very user friendly and the printed estimate looks awesome with actual vehicle model and color PICTURED in header for easy quick identification to which car it goes with in a shop jammed with vehicles. The estimate is easy to understand and see what the dent counts and costs associated are, adding r&i and any custom panels/numbers is easy also. Adding photos of damage or making notes etc of unpaid damage is also quick and simple. Really like it so far and look forward to taking advantage of its ease 👍 ### 5/5 — The BEST! *2023-04-03, version 6.5.19* Mobile Tech RX has been a wonderful addition to our small business. The best thing about it is the customer service behind it. I was fortunate to have Laura as my rep and she went above and beyond to make sure I understood all the functions of it. I’ve said multiple times to my wife how much I like having this software. Like anything, there is a learning curve. Once you learn, it amazing how intuitive it is and it’s super thorough. The best part is their customer service and tech support. Very rare to find a company who follows through on everything they promise. Shout out to Josie and her prompt service every single time! Not only is the app excellent with scheduling, estimates, customer alerts but they called me the very day I downloaded the free version to walk me through it. There are discounts for certifications to upgrade my services and knowledgeable technicians dedicated to helping me achieve my goals. ### 5/5 — Best app best techs *2022-08-01* This app streamlined my entire business. I’m an old school dude who had everything in notebooks and it was drowning me. This app lets me create an easy to access client list, perform estimates super easy, customize my packages on the fly to fit my individual customers needs, reschedule and save vehicle info and notes, it has an option to have people sign a form allowing you to work on their vehicle saving you liability and send sophisticated and aesthetic invoices to my customers after their work order is complete. It helped me price my packages more fairly and is netting me more money per client. I set up an appointment with a tech to walk me through the app. Samir the tech who video called me was the nicest most charismatic intelligently spoken well prepared go getter I’ve encountered in a long time. It is immediately apparent he loves this app and how much it helps people and loves his job teaching people how to use it. His presentation was extremely thorough and honest. It was not rushed and all questions answered very thoroughly and in great detail. Mobiletechrx is as lucky to have him as I am to have the app. At the end when it came time to talk about the apps different plans he was extremely upfront and honest about each package and which one would best suit me as a professional auto detailer. I am going with the 90$ a month median plan after being told that the more expensive one is more for technicians and mechanics and all it’s exclusive features would not be needed for my business. There is a cheaper plan that looked really good, but a few of the perks in the 90$ category caught my eye. I look forward to using this app for years to come. ### 5/5 — Great customer service team! *2022-07-14, version 6.5.13* I signed up for it and then I got to busy and wasn’t paying much attention to the app and they charged my bank $200. Half the time it doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. The other half of the time when it’s working most of the features you pay for are missing the info you need. Since they were purchased it’s gone down hill significantly. I’d go with any other service provider. I then went into the app only to find that several estimating features I’ve had since day 1 when I’d signed up for this app in 2016 or 17 are now not available. I’d been paying $30 thru all these years with the ability to write hail, price a dent, paint & body, detail, R&I and, ppf. Someone at MTRX took it upon themselves to delete my ability to write paint & body, ppf, price a dent and ppf yet the price has jumped to $42 a month!! I’ll be switching estimating apps . Greed greed greed ruins most everything in life and now this once great app. Just like every other business that gets bought out by a bigger business, the bean counters get greedy right away and the price goes up but the quality goes down . I’ve become quite dissatisfied with this app and will be looking for something better. The price has gone up significantly and now there’s less available features ???!!!!! Don’t bother with this app it is now garbage . ### 1/5 — Needs a whole refresh + a lot of things fixed *2024-02-07* I have been using MTRX since 2016 and it has really not changed much since then, aside from the absurd price hike. Which I wouldn’t have even minded if they actually provided solid features and updates to the app. I still cannot create an invoice on the Mac App Store version, which is annoying because sometimes you just want to work on your computer you know? You can’t change a client once you’ve made an invoice you have to copy the vin and make a whole new invoice to make it the right client. There’s no short cut to modify a clients information on the estimate or invoice tab you have to go to the client tab and look them up. The search bar is useless you could put something like “Range Rover” and it won’t find anything, it doesn’t always find customers names or models of vehicles it’s just really unreliable. Also if you’re using this at your hail shop to do insurance work it’s not a direct alternative to CCC since it’s missing a lot of procedures and the parts section isn’t categorized correctly. The reports tab creates inaccurate reports. There’s honestly a ton of other little things that need to be fixed but this is all I have from memory. I use this for walk in estimates, organization and invoicing but seriously it could be so much better if the developers stopped being so lazy and actually added useful features. **Developer response:** Hey, Renato. You get no value. Then it goes to $100 which is ridiculous. I can get quick books or fresh books to do the same thing. With 10 times more features. Look if your in this detail type business and you need this app because Jon don’t know how to price or what your doing. Your gonna fail anyway.
