I think, for people who have the main software (Vocaloid 6 on PC) which I do, shouldn’t have to pay for this app, especially with how pricey the main service is. I understand that Vocaloid is high value and the concept of having it on the go is great, however for those who already have it, what are they to do? Say I suddenly have an idea and wish to create it (and refine it later) quickly while on a trip, I can’t? It only lets you export in VSQX and VPR format, so it’s not as easy as it should be to export and import your tracks into a DAW. Additionally, I really loathe the subscription model and wish they offered a perpetual license option alongside the subscription option. I would be willing to pay as high as $60 for a perpetual license, but right now there’s only the $4/month option. As other reviewers have pointed out, it’s frustrating how if you spend more money buying voicebanks, the voicebanks are constantly subscription-locked. Lastly, my app got a glitch where it no longer plays the note preview as I move the note around on the piano roll. Yes the subscription still bothers me, but overall it’s still a great app. I have Miku, Kaai Yuki, miki, gumi, and more. It definitely was a steal, and I think for 4 of those was $80, which would be the average cost for ONE voicebank. I hate how literally 93% of the reviews are about the subscription because it’s honestly YOUR fault if you don’t wanna pay. Especially since the desktop editor costs $225 lol 😭 Anyway back on subject, If I were to comment about the UI, I’d say it’s pretty good, and I only had to look up how to use a few things, as a former VoiSona user. For the voices in general? They only have a few of my favorites on here, but a bunch of them sound amazing, and I like the huge variety. I’m a producer now, and this is still a fantastic option if you wanna be a Vocaloid producer. I like how they give you two free voices, and both of them sound great. Id say the subscription should either be removed, or the app should be paid itself. Other than the fact you need to pay $4 monthly to use this app, it’s very good if you wanna make Vocaloid songs! If you’ve never ever used a Vocaloid-related software before, the UI looks incredibly hard, but they literally made tutorials for you to use on YT! Also, this review isnt fake, im being legit. I don’t know why people rated 1 star, because if you actually have a job, it isnt a lot at all to pay $4 monthly. I also forgot to mention, the voicebanks are INCREDIBLY CHEAP. I sound crazy but im not. The summer sale was also totally worth it! The reason why I say this is because an average Voicebank would usually cost like $60 or even more, especially old voicebanks. But the ORIGNAL Hatsune Miku voice on here, costs $17!! If you exclude the summer sale, it’s literally $20. If you really want a Hatsune Miku voicebank, especially the older ones, then I suggest you buy it during the summer sale. Anyway, yeah! I think it’s totally worth it, if you have money.
