### 4/5 — Simple, effective, and stays out of the way

*2025-08-29, version 1.7.5*

I really appreciate this app. It has a very minimal UI and doesn’t try to be fancy. It just gets out of the way and lets you type. Remote synchronization (in my case to Nextcloud) is seamless once it’s set up. I guess the setup process is the only area where it could be streamlined a bit. I hope this app is still being maintained, because it’s really quite useful.

### 3/5 — Good but encryption not working

*2017-08-07, version 1.7.4*

Good app, but the encryption is not working. When I sync without encryption everything works fine but as soon as I enable encryption and enter on my mac and on the app the password (double checked) the sync fails and I get the message that I should check the password.

### 5/5 — Best organizer app in the world

*2015-07-03, version 1.6.1*

if you know how to use org mode in emacs. I recommend using your own WebDAV instead of dubious Dropbox. With mounting WebDAV you can call org-mobile-push/pull directly on it.

### 5/5 — thanks

*2015-02-18, version 1.6.1*

very useful

### 5/5 — Wundervoll, lokaler Sync per WebDAV!

*2014-09-02, version 1.6.1*

### 4/5 — Awesome org-mode integration

*2014-03-26, version 1.6.1*

The app isn't the fanciest or the prettiest, but being able to capture items on the go, and review your current status is just wonderful.

### 3/5 — très moyen

*2014-03-10, version 1.6.1*

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2013-09-06, version 1.6.1*

Can't wait for more features

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2013-08-01, version 1.6.1*

Look forward to future updates!

### 5/5 — It's back!

*2013-07-11, version 1.6.1*

It works! My life can go on MobileOrg-anised! Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Finally

*2013-06-22, version 1.6.1*

I am so glad this is back. I can't wait to use it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — does not work for me

*2017-11-20, version 1.7.4*

aquamacs 3.3, dropbox, iphone 5s: no error and nothing is synced

### 1/5 — Borked

*2016-08-18, version 1.6.1*

Checksum error on sync. Completely broken and non-functional. Makes me wish I were a dev so I could work on just fixing it myself; maybe in a few years!

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2016-07-01, version 1.6.1*

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

### 1/5 — Broken. Broken. Broken.

*2016-03-16*

Broken

### 1/5 — Dropbox sync doesn't work, even using org-mobile-push

*2014-07-29, version 1.6.1*

First problem: you can't just add a .org file to the Dropbox folder and expect it to show up in the app. You have to go through a convoluted setup process using emacs on your desktop, which involves setting up special customization variables and using the very finicky "org-mobile-push" command. If you don't, the app will say there's an error, but won't explain what the error is. You also have to know how to use org-mode's "agenda" feature which isn't explained or mentioned on the website.

Second problem: after I did this, the file I wanted showed up in the app's file list, but had no contents. I seem to be following the website's instructions correctly, from what I can tell.

Third problem: the web site's links to the purported support forums, FAQ, and wiki are all broken.

### 1/5 — 100% does not work.

*2014-05-25, version 1.6.1*

Mismatched notifications, unresponsive help site, unable to perform any actions.

### 1/5 — Nutzlose App

*2014-04-09, version 1.6.1*

### 1/5 — Nice idea, but....

*2013-05-31, version 1.6.0*

Step one is to sync, and all it gives me is "unexpected error," so there's not much to do from there.

### 2/5 — org-mobile-push unworkable

*2014-11-15, version 1.6.1*

This app has a lot of promise. I would love to have something that directly translates org-mode files to a mobile format that can easily be edited. The interface for files that you actually get synced is quite nice. The problem is that syncing between .org files and the MobileOrg app is cumbersome and error prone. If you forget to do it and you've edited your files, you just won't see the latest version on the app. If you edit in the app, you'll have conflicts. If this app would just work directly on .org files in a Dropbox folder it would be ideal for me. Since that isn't possible, I'm going to have to try a Markdown-based alternative.

### 3/5 — Requires complex setup

*2022-07-01, version 1.7.5*

The description says that the app “can view, edit and search Emacs Org mode files” but misses the important point “which are referenced in some root index file”. If you want to view _a_ file, the app won’t help you, since it won’t see the file.

*2019-06-12, version 1.7.4*

### 5/5 — File off cloud

*2017-10-04, version 1.7.4*

Is it possible for you to add samba to sync with nas?

### 5/5 — Great !

*2017-07-06, version 1.7.2*

### 5/5 — It's back and great!

*2017-02-07, version 1.7.1*

MobileOrg is the thing you want if you like iPhones and org-mode. And now, with a fancy new coat of paint on it, it's absolutely a pleasure to use. Yes!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2017-01-31, version 1.7.1*

Super app. My only gripe was setting up Dropbox. Would have been nice to link directly to Github.

### 5/5 — Emacs Org-mode to iOS

*2016-10-02, version 1.6.1*

Thanks for bringing Org-mode to iOS!
The functions in this mobile app are basic and usable, please keep up the effort!

### 5/5 — Genial!

*2016-09-17, version 1.6.1*
