As others mentioned, Visa is more popular than Master Card and American Express. When will this app start supporting Visa?

Also, users who successfully used the updated app with your MC (like Bilt which has no foreign transaction fees), did you encounter any foreign credit card transaction fees or any other fees other than the actual transit cost?

I hate comparing the two countries but Japan’s SUICA system allows convenient top up directly on Apple wallet and accepts all major credit cards. Please improve the system further.

Thanks for your hard work! We appreciate you working hard to make this available for us. It’s just not as useful at this stage.

L’application est bien faite, claire, compréhensible et facile d’utilisation (sur iPhone). Petit bémol : toutes les cartes bancaires étrangères ne sont pas disponibles, ce qui peut être dérangeant si on a que une seul carte bancaire.

It is great that iPhones and Apple Watches can be used to pay for public transportation in Korea. However, many, if not most international users from the US need to be able to use a Visa card to add money to the t-money card. Please add Visa card compatibility as soon as possible.

Gave 2 stars as it’s a good app idea overall and was reasonable to set up except I found out I couldn’t use it right at the end

新たにMASTERカードを登録したら、うまく登録できました。

애플페이 사용 안하는 아이폰 사용자이고 몇번 다시 태그해야 할 때는 가끔 있지만 전반적으로 모바일티머니 잘 사용중입니다. 헌데 그냥 잔액 충전 시에는 계좌 결제가 되는데 자동충전만 신청하려고 하면 애플페이 옵션과 신용카드 선택해도 현대카드만 나오고 다른 카드 옵션은 안 나오는데 현대카드 없으면 자동충전은 아예 불가능한 건가요..?ㅠ

I was able to download the app and add it to my Apple Wallet. However it won’t accept any of my 6 credit cards from the US, all of them Visa credit cards.  Unable to add money means useless to me.

The developer responded and explained the App currently does not work with Visa card.  Unfortunately, Visa is the most popular card in the US by a margin of 2 to 1. I have Mastercard, but did not bring it to Korea. May be next time.

Maybe not quite ready to be downloaded and used by tourists. I just downloaded it and I had to take pics of the individual pages then upload them on the google translate app. Cumbersome process but hoping I can still use the app next year.

I just want to find an app to pay for transit when I visit Korea, which is a couple of times a year, as my foreign credit cards don’t work on the subways here. This app isn’t it! It won’t accept Mastercard if from a non-Korean bank. I even clicked on the “Foreigner” tab when setting up, but apparently it is there just to mess with you, as this app isn’t useless for foreigners.

J’ai pris le bus et lorsque j’ai validé ma carte à la montée, je n’ai pas compris pourquoi mais ça m’a compté 2 validations (« tap in ») ; et lorsque j’ai passé ma carte à nouveau à la descente, quelle ne fut pas ma surprise de constater que ma carte n’a pas été « tap out », mais qu’en plus de cela, ça m’a compté cela comme un 3e « tap in », et c’était encore plus cher que les 2 autres fois! J’ai donc payé presque 4 FOIS plus que ce que j’aurais dû payer en réalité!!! Et ça me semble compliqué de traiter ce genre de problèmes avec le mode « foreigner » directement sur l’application…

It was fine to use until I needed to top up. None of my cars options were working. I was left stranded because this app would not allow me to make a payment and top up!

Actually disappointed in this app, there’s no way to register an already owned T-Money Card as a foreigner. This is not as foreigner friendly as mentioned. I wish it were a little more lenient when trying to keep track of T-Money. I’m tired of asking my boyfriend to refill or carrying wads of cash to refill. 

This is not a good app… sorry. 🥲

If you have a VISA credit card, this app has no functionality for you. I was happy to see the foreigner option but sadly it’s not useable yet unless you use Mastercard.

Why would you have an app for foreigners and not translate to English or whatever other languages foreigners speak? Super hard to use and not user friendly!

I don't understand all the negative reviews. As a US visitor, the app was really convenient. Be aware that the only feature that works is the card itself. You can't do anything else without a T Money login, which requires a Korean bank account or Korean phone number. But that's no different than if you were to use a physical T Money card. So what's the issue? Sure, the app feels a little bloated with features you cannot use. But it functions just fine. At the end of your visit, go to a convenience store & get your money back by scanning the card. Easy. If technology is hard for you, just get a physical card. If you're like me and you want the convenience of keeping it on your phone, you'll love this.

I can add a virtual Tmoney card to my Apple wallet and top it up through the app. This works well now and prevents the need for a physical Tmoney card.

This worked really well for trains and buses. We also were able to use it at vendors that didn’t support foreign credit cards.

I was able to add the card to my wallet and add money from my bilt mastercard just fine. The tapping was flawless going between many stations in rhe seoul city center. Worked very similar to my digital Suica in Japan. The latest update seems to have fixed many issues. Tapping through the gate was also very fast. Make sure your express transit card feature is turned on.
