Confused with this apps works. Should you click parking and entering the lot? How ridiculous way to park!!! When i email for trouble, no reply at all until now (2 days already). I prefer to use term "scam" apps because it take the money and you can not use the service. **Developer response:** Hi! If you get this tipe of a message, this means that this car currently has an active payment in another parking lot. You may have been in another parking lot before and did not stop the payment at that parking lot. That is why you received a notification that this car already has an active parking lot. ### 2/5 — Pazuda mēneša biļete *2025-04-24, version 29.0.228* Nopirku Rīgas satiksmes mēneša biļeti, bet pēc 2 nedēļām šī biļete pazuda no mana Mobilly konta. I downloaded it, but when I press on the icon, it blinks and closes straight away, nothing happens. Impossible to use. Update: after lengthy back and forward communication, the support concluded that my phone iOS isn’t supported... Why do you discriminate customers by what phone model they have? Very customer oriented, thanks! ### 1/5 — Extremely limited country codes *2024-08-20, version 28.3.360* This app requires a phone number and only has a dozen or so country codes. Not even +1 is included… Horrible app and e ticket system ### 1/5 — Limited top up options *2024-07-19, version 28.3.360* Can only use Latvian bank account to top up which I don’t own. Can’t even use Apple pay ### 3/5 — Still impossible *2024-06-14* International number ✅ English language ✅ Stations impossible to find, no map???❌ When searching bus stations as named in google maps an impossible list pops up, you have to know that airport is called Lidosta but still which of the long list is it? The map of the charging stations will be available in the app very soon, various improvements are planned for the app in the coming months and the map will also be available. :) About the airport bus stop - in the app this stop is called "Lidosta, Rīga" (Airport Rīga) - it is also the terminal stop of Riga Airport. Soon, we are also planning improvements in this section (search for stops) - it will definitely help to find stops more easily. ### 1/5 — Not easy for German visitors… *2024-06-09* Hi, please add the registration option for German phone number with +49. Thanks and regards Ok - option is there at the end of the list - can you name it German or Deutschland, please? **Developer response:** Hi! We are sorry to hear that you had trouble finding German phone numbers in the list. When registering in the app, the initial view of the app is in Latvian and therefore it must have been more difficult for you to find Germany, because the country is written in Latvian. When you switch to English during registration, the menu will say - Germany. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2023-12-12, version 28.3.150* No translation, impossible to buy a ticket. Not ideal when you’re desperately trying to get to the airport. Absolute trash, the developers should be ashamed and f themselves ### 1/5 — Can’t register without Latvian phone number *2023-11-16, version 28.3.150* Really frustrating. Have tried to register but can’t choose anything other than +357 to start the phone number, so we can’t register. Then I went to the website to try. It just blocks me. Tried again and the same. Then tried to access the help page and again got blocked by Cloudflare. Can’t pay for parking now as there’s no other option… ### 2/5 — Minimum top up amount is €5 *2023-10-12, version 28.3.150* Shame the minimum top up of your wallet is €5 not less or as much as you need. For example, if you need to get from Riga city centre to Purvciems/Plavnieki or Imanta you have to top up €5 minimum to your wallet and use it during specific amount of time. It would be easier for tourists (and not only tourists) to have an option to add just €1.5/€2 or pay as you go option to your wallet. Thanks ### 2/5 — Easy to use for foreign travellers *2023-08-14, version 28.2.920* We downloaded this whilst on a team in Riga and then used it for all our travel whilst there. No issues with using foreign mobiles/bank account. ### 1/5 — Not for foreigners *2023-08-10, version 28.2.920* Although the app says you can use it if you have a UK phone number, it’s useless cause even though you can register with your UK number, you can’t top up the mobilly account. I just spent 30min trying to add 2different UK cards (Monzo and Chase) to top up the mobilly account but they showed “maksājuma apstrādes kļūda” and that’s it. Not trying again, will just use my card and the parking machines. Useless! ### 1/5 — No English - useless *2023-04-25* While registration is possible with English UI, the app nahe no English UI. Totally useless for foreign tourists. **Developer response:** Hi! Most of the content in the app is available in English, but unfortunately some of the sections are still in progress. We are working on making the entire range of services available in English very soon. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Remarkably poor at its core function *2026-08-12, version 30.0.7* By far the worst UI/UX design I have encountered in a travel app. The app contains far too much information, much of it hidden, making it confusing and overcrowded. Most importantly, there is no clear walkthrough explaining how to register a ticket once purchased. The app simply prompts you to register the ticket without explaining how. Instead, users have to search online and find instructions elsewhere, such as on the website or Facebook. It is remarkably poor at performing the one core function a public transport app should make effortless: travel. The app is simply not intuitive. The UI/UX needs significant improvement. ### 1/5 — Misleading company *2026-08-01, version 30.0.4* I’m very disappointed with the Mobily parking app. It advertises night parking for €3, and the minimum wallet top-up is also €3, which makes you believe that’s all you need. However, there is no option to purchase night parking directly. Instead, the app automatically starts a regular parking session, charging €1 for the first hour, €1 for the second hour, and then additional charges (such as €0.13) before switching to the night tariff. By that point, the €3 balance is no longer enough, leaving you unable to activate night parking. As a result, €2 is spent for nothing, and you’re left without enough funds to buy the parking you actually wanted. This feels misleading and unnecessarily confusing. If night parking costs €3, users should be able to purchase it directly without having to keep extra money in their wallet. The current system feels like a trick rather than a transparent pricing model. ### 1/5 — Müll *2026-06-15* Für Deutsche ist die App nicht nutzbar. Es wird eine Persönliche ID angefragt, die es auf einer deutschen ID Karte gar nicht gibt. Somit kann man die App nicht nutzen. **Developer response:** Hello! Makes getting around extremely difficult when not every bus stop has a ticket booth!! ### 1/5 — Useless for people without an EU phone number *2025-10-10, version 29.0.260* The app requires an EU phone number to sign up and use. It shouldn’t be in other region’s App Store if it’s not usable by them. ### 1/5 — No USA *2025-08-25, version 29.0.252* My family is Latvian and when we tried to park around town we weren’t able to create an account or pay with SMS because there was no USA +1 telephone option. We have to keep parking at Jēkaba kazarmas which has euro park. ### 1/5 — Topping/Language *2025-08-20* Sometimes topping up is not possible, they want to verify you using local banks where you as a tourist have no account. Your car ist stuck in the undeground parking and you cant pay. Awful. Русский язык. В Латвии 90% говорят на русском языке, но на сайте нет возможности выбрать русский язык. We have sent you all the information via email so that you can resolve the verification issue. ### 1/5 — Does not work with US phones *2025-05-25, version 29.0.238* Riga has good public transport system but can’t seem to realize that people come to visit from outside EU and they might want to use their phones to purchase tickets. The official app works only if you have a phone in 3 Baltic countries. And this app only works with EU phones. Why do I need an EU phone to buy a bus ticket? I have Apple Pay and eSIM that provides wifi access. This works all over the world. New York, Copenhagen, Florence - no problems. But Riga - noooo… Have to buy a paper ticket.
