### 4/5 — Perfect

*2025-09-02*

The best solution for obsidian sync. Also removes lag of icloud sync between two devices. Sometimes hangs after long delay. But battery saving is ok.

### 4/5 — Works great, one essential feature missing

*2024-01-10*

I will give 5 stars as soon as the following feature is implemented:
trigger a sync from the Apple Shortcuts App, so that it can be used in automation, e.g. when I open or close a specific app that depends on the data synced by Möbius (similar to Working Copy for Git).

**Developer response:** Thanks for your support. Shortcuts are on the roadmap: https://github.com/MobiusSync/MobiusSync/issues/136

### 4/5 — App works great. But removed files not actually deleted

*2023-08-16, version 1.23.2*

This app works great. Exactly as advertised and highly recommended for syncing across devices and platforms. Two comments: Files don’t actually get deleted when they are removed. They get moved to recently deleted but don’t seem to ever go away. The heading in the files app says files may be removed by the storage provider, but that doesn’t happen. For devices low on storage this is a problem. Files should be cleaned up periodically by mobius. It would also be great if I could select an album on my camera roll as a share location and have the sync app automatically create an ignore list for only valid file types (JPG, HEIC, HEIF, MOV) and allow syncing images to the camera roll and this album. Don’t know if this is possible within the limitations of iOS…

### 4/5 — The only major con is the ugly icon

*2023-04-15, version 1.23.2*

The usability of this app has improved drastically with the external folder integration. I can recommend this as the best private cross-platform syncing solution.

### 5/5 — got this PRO version

*2023-03-07, version 1.23.1*

moved up to get this PRO version to support the developer. but question: now getting "Filesystem Watcher Errors" at top of this syncthing app screen. what is that? and how do i turn that off? because this syncthing app still works for me. was also getting that error message in other non-PRO version also....

### 1/5 — Not reliable for Obsidian sync

*2026-07-26, version 1.28.0*

I bought Möbius Sync to sync my Obsidian vault with Syncthing on iPhone/iPad. I regret it.

The app is not reliable. It struggles with iOS background syncing, requires manual babysitting, and has caused repeated sync/conflict problems. I should not have to keep opening the sync app before seeing that my notes are current.

It simply will not sync in the background I have to open Möbius Sync and let it finish sinking for a few minutes before I can start using Obsidian on the iPhone - each and every time.

For a paid app, it needs much better reliability, clearer conflict handling, and stronger protection against bad sync states. If you need dependable Obsidian sync, I would avoid it.

### 1/5 — Non-functional, Over priced, Dishonest

*2025-02-20, version 1.28.0*

Like the title says, this app is non-functional, the error messages provide no information when its unable to sync and it fails frequently… They commonly appear to be several versions behind which, seems quite scummy considering i got the paid addition… and of course the app claims it can sync things and does not do so, It makes promises that it can’t possibly fulfill from developers who seemingly do not care. If your a fan if wasting money, buy this app…

### 1/5 — iphone 15 pro did not work correctly

*2024-08-24*

Giu is not optimizated with iphone 15 pro and app start shaking when i open it in a second time after rebooting the device

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-03-03, version 1.23.2*

Bought specifically to use the external folder (non sandbox) option and it’s not working ios17.

### 1/5 — Fantastic solution to Obsidian sync

*2023-07-17, version 1.23.2*

Straightforward syncthing client nicely fit to ios with clever background strategy which works

### 2/5 — Too glitchy

*2024-10-11, version 1.27.9*

It’s great having syncthing on iOS but you can’t just run this and forget about it. On Android it’s always running and I never have to fiddle with it. On iPad it regularly stops syncing and when I bring the app to focus, the display goes all wonky and I have to restart it. Good idea but not reliable.

### 2/5 — Syncs sometimes

*2024-05-10, version 1.23.2*

Great concept and works with syncthing. However I’ve found over the months after purchasing, that background sync is very unreliable. This is no fault of the developer since iOS not allowing apps to run continuously is causing the reliability problem but I think this should be called out better so people know . Paying for the upgrade is useless if I can’t count on it keeping my files in sync.

### 3/5 — No shortcut support

*2024-08-31, version 1.27.9*

This app desperately needs shortcut support. I want to be able to quickly share a file from another app and have it sync, but the steps to do that are arduous and have to be memorised.

Just opening the app is unpleasant. You always get a huge banner covering half the screen to let you know syncing is resuming. Just use a status icon. A traffic light will do.

It's not a very "iPhone" solution. In fact now that I look at it, it doesn't even appear to use native UI elements. It looks like an app for another type of phone.

### 3/5 — Storages usage problem

*2023-03-25, version 1.23.2*

Correctly I use this app to sync with my Syncthing server.
I deleted files in local syncing folder or even from my server syncing folder, the files will disappeared immediately with both local and server, but my iPhone storage usage doesn’t change. Means the deleted files is still occupied my iPhone storage.
And the iPad Air 5 of this app cannot use local network, even there’s no local network permission request in iPadOS privacy and security setting.
No other issues. Please help.
Thanks.

### 4/5 — 正常使用

### 5/5 — A great alternative to iCloud

*2026-03-09*

Of course you need to set up your own Syncthing server at home - but that is the whole purpose … your own data, your own privacy, and no iCloud fees.

It works flawlessly as a SynchThing client - 100% compatible with the Linux and Windows versions. Haven’t tied compatibility with MacOS, but I bet it’s compatible with that too. It’s Syncthing after all. Well done folks!

### 5/5 — Excellent app for syncing.

*2025-06-08, version 1.28.0*

Way better than Resilio Sync.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2025-06-03, version 1.28.0*

I’ve been using this app for months now. Works great with Syncthing. Syncthing setup on Linux is sometimes “fun”. If you get past setting up Syncthing, then Moebius is pretty easy. I’m syncing two phones to a backup location on a Proxmox container, and to my Linux workstation.

### 5/5 — So good

*2025-05-02, version 1.28.0*

God dang this is beautiful.
I was about to sell my iPad to get android tablet for syncthing. And this app saved me to spend money.
Thank you

### 5/5 — Syncthing 😤😤😤👌👌👌

*2024-11-02*

🙏🙏🙏😃😃😃👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Super App!

*2024-07-01*

### 5/5 — Thank you for update to v.1.27.8

*2024-06-24*

numConnections option is functional, thank you!

**Developer response:** 1.27.7 is currently in beta. You can navigate to Github Discussions for more details via https://www.mobiussync.com/faq/

### 5/5 — Sync with LogSeq

*2024-03-15*

Bought to sync flawlessly with LogSeq.
Would additionally pay to be able to change the icon - hurts my eyes ;-)

**Developer response:** Glad it works well for you with LogSeq.

We have reopened the issue re changing the icon on GitHub: https://github.com/MobiusSync/MobiusSync/issues/19

### 5/5 — Amazing program

*2024-01-14, version 1.23.2*

As others have mentioned, this in combination with Obsidian is a dream come true. It’s worth the $5 and then some.

I just hope to see continued updates from the developer. Syncthing has since been updated to 1.27.2. Please keep it up to date :).

### 5/5 — Works well, especially for Obsidian

*2024-01-02, version 1.23.2*

Works pretty much as you'd expect given the limitations of the OS. The experimental feature of syncing app sandboxes appears to work so far, at least for my use case of Obsidian. Kinda eh I had to pay for what is, on everything else, free/open source software, but I also get it– the Fruit Company's annual fees won't pay for itself. As far as I could tell this is the "official" (or at least endorsed by the syncthing devs) version of syncthing.
