## What is MoCáp?

### 5/5 — Stream function?

*2022-10-29, version 0.9.5*

Any plan to add stream functionality to the app? Stream the body skeleton through wifi and read the location data?

### 2/5 — Crash

*2022-10-25*

New iPhone 14 app crashes immediately

### 1/5 — Absolutely awful

*2022-01-09, version 0.9.4*

this app indeed records mocap data but it come out janky and nothing like what the app says

### 1/5 — I HATE THIS APP

*2021-11-27*

If I could rate 0 stars I would because you have to have an XS or newer phone!!! 😡
That is the dumbest think I’ve ever heard
100% DONT RECOMMEND

**Developer response:** Sorry for what you encountered. MoCáp records motion capture by applying the ARKit functionality and it requires an A12 chip iOS device. I describes such limitation in the app description and onboarding screen. But unfortunately there’s no way currently to filter those devices in App Store platform. When it becomes possible or the technology basis updates, I will do my best to deliver such changes to the app.

### 3/5 — Awesome app!

*2021-05-13*

Will this app ever get an FBX update

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. MoCáp has the specific skeleton set-up to make body detection work through the AR camera. You can use MoCáp motion data by exporting your Daz3D character into Maya, Blender, or other 3D tools and assigning the translation and/or rotation data to specific bones. For example, you can use Copy Rotation Bone Constraint in Blender to copy recorded bone rotation to your character's relative bone.

### 5/5 — Great app!!!!

*2021-04-01, version 0.8.16*

Awesome app!!! But still needs a little work on the glitching

### 4/5 — Sort of works...

*2021-01-11*

It was very simple and easy to record myself and import it into blender, but the animation is really shaky and it always bends my wrist inwards. Other than that it works really well.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The wrist problem is the tough one. It looks like the AR detection has difficulty to determine the movement for the wrist, hand and fingers. That’s also why the MoCap recording doesn’t include the hand and finger movements.it’s not perfect and we will keep improve it.

### 4/5 — Works great

*2020-12-12*

Imported the BVH into Blender very easily. However, it is really troublesome that there is no 24fps option. This is something I can deal with for fully CG scenes but in anything that requires a composited character it makes it a lot tougher. So if it got 24fps as an option I’d switch to 5 stars for sure.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the advice. 24 FPS option will be added in next few updates.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2020-11-22*

Feature request: Apple Watch app to allow a viewfinder for those that are self capturing body. It's difficult to do it by myself. I need to use a mirror to check if I'm in frame.

**Developer response:** Thank you! The Apple Watch remote and mirror features are in the MoCáp’s future release plan. Just be patient and stay tuned!

### 4/5 — Barely works

*2020-10-04*

I can’t find any information on how to shoot a better video for the .bvh file. The armature spazzes out when importing it into blender. The depth doesn’t work. When punching or kicking straight the app thinks that the limbs is being raised. I want this to work but can’t get it too, yet.
