## What is Mochi?

Meet Mochi - your stress, with a face.

Mochi is a stress companion for iPhone and Apple Watch. Instead of showing you a number and leaving you to interpret it, Mochi shows you himself: a small character whose color, mood, and surroundings reflect what your body is actually doing right now.

Powered by HRV (heart rate variability) and resting heart rate from Apple Health, Mochi turns physiological data into something you can feel at a glance — and gently nudges you toward the small daily habits that actually lower stress over time.

How Mochi reflects your day
- Calm — matcha green, sipping tea in morning light
- Balanced — sakura pink, holding a cherry blossom under a bright sky
- Tense — warm amber at golden hour, holding a mandarin
- Strained — lavender at twilight, wrapped in a small bundle
- Overload — deep blue at night, lit by a small warm lamp

Same Mochi, same scene — five emotional states, five times of day. A full arc from morning calm to evening exhaustion, lived through one character.

What's inside
- Today — Mochi's current state, your HRV and RHR, a short breath ritual
- Habits — sleep regularity, movement, mindfulness, daylight
- History — your stress timeline by hour, day, and week
- Body — HRV baseline, resting heart rate, VO2, biological age
- Settings — watch widgets, subscription, profile

Built on your own baseline
Mochi compares your HRV to your own 7-day baseline, not to population averages. "Above your usual" means more than a generic "good." Your body, your numbers.

Privacy first
No account. No cloud. No tracking. Everything stays on your iPhone.

Requirements
iPhone running iOS 17.6 or later. Apple Watch recommended for live HRV data.

Subscription prices and terms
Mochi can be downloaded for free. If you choose to upgrade to the Mochi Pro version, you can unlock all paid features.
We offer two different purchase options: monthly, and annual auto-renewal.
For monthly or annual subscriptions: Once confirmed and paid, it will automatically renew through your Apple iTunes account. After successful payment, the subscription period will be extended. To cancel, please manually turn off the auto-renewal feature in iTunes/Apple ID settings management at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. During the trial period, if you do not cancel the subscription, it will automatically activate and charge at the end of the trial period. This service is at your discretion to cancel; if you choose not to cancel, the renewal service for the next billing cycle will be activated for you.

### 1/5 — Insufficient data all day everyday

*2026-08-26*

I’ve used this for almost a week and still no data.

**Developer response:** "Insufficient data" means Mochi hasn't got today's reading yet, but it doesn't tell you which of three quite different things is in the way, and after a week of the same phrase that's useless. That's on the app to say better, and we're changing it.

The card under it names the cause: no Apple Watch, Health access switched off, or the watch simply not worn overnight, heart rate variability is mostly recorded during sleep. If it says access is off, that's two taps in Health → Sharing → Apps → Mochi, and worth checking anyway: iOS grants those permissions one type at a time, so one missed toggle looks exactly like no data at all.

If none of that is it, please write to support@99wrongturns.com. We answer the same day, and with a week of nothing there's clearly something we should look at directly rather than guess about.

### 4/5 — Free Trial?

*2026-08-23*

I like this app and there is supposed to be a free trial but when you select that option you can only purchase a year, month or week without a free trial period . I hope they fix this

**Developer response:** Thanks for flagging this, you're right, and the bug is ours. Mochi was showing a "Free Trial" button in places where the trial wasn't actually available to you, so you tapped it and got nothing but the plans. That's on us, not you, and it's fixed in the update now in review: the trial appears when it's genuinely available, and when it isn't the button says so instead of promising it. We've written to you directly as well, and we'd be glad to hear how it feels once the update lands.

### 5/5 — Great Customer Service

*2026-08-19*

Great customer service. Reported a problem and they were quick to fix it.
This is the type of business you love you see their apps.

**Developer response:** Hi Sheila,

Thank you for this, and for reporting the problem in the first place. You helped us find it quickly, and the fix is done: it ships with version 1.3.

If anything else comes up, or you have ideas for us, write to support@99wrongturns.com, we read everything that arrives there.

Thanks again for the kind words.

### 5/5 — Mochi

*2026-07-31*

Awsome

**Developer response:** Thank you, Mochi felt that one. If he can ever do something better, we're at support@99wrongturns.com

### 5/5 — 👍🏻

*2026-07-20*

It is so cute and helpful

**Developer response:** Thank you, Mochi is a little pink in the cheeks right now.

Cute was the easy part. Helpful was the one we worried about, so it means a lot to hear both. If there's ever something you'd like him to notice, we're at support@99wrongturns.com. We read every message.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-01

Pick your character, and choose the next one.

Mochi has seven characters, and until now they were buried in Settings where almost nobody found them. They're now on the watch face screen, right where you set up your complication. Choose the one you want on your wrist.

And underneath them, three empty places.

We're drawing three new characters, and which three is entirely up to you. Four questions, about a minute, no lists of things we picked for you. Just tell us what you'd want. The three people ask for most are the three we'll make. Look again in a couple of weeks and the first one should be here.

Also in this update:

- A reading that wouldn't go stale, fixed. If your watch ran out of battery, or you just didn't wear it, Mochi kept showing the last reading as though it were how you are right now, sometimes for most of a day. It now admits it has nothing instead of guessing.
- Buttons that answer the first time. A few of them only responded where the words were and ignored the space around them.

The characters are the part of Mochi people write to us about most. Now they're yours to choose.

Something not working, or an idea for us? Write to support@99wrongturns.com. We read everything and answer the same day.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-26

Mochi got a lot more honest, and a lot easier to fix when something's off.

- Your stress reading is more accurate. Ordinary days were being labelled "Tense" far too often, and when Mochi had nothing to work with he'd guess instead of saying so. He now says "No reading yet", and keeps the alarming words for days that earn them.
- When a screen is empty, Mochi explains why. No Apple Watch, Health access switched off, or simply not enough days yet. Each one now gets a clear answer and a way to fix it, instead of a blank chart.
- Water and caffeine, rebuilt. Tap a card to open it, tap an amount to log it, and actually see it land. Set your own daily goal for both, and read the whole day's history at a glance.
- New watch face complications. Stress and HRV are now compact dials with a marker showing where you stand, plus water and caffeine rings. Your character also works on single-colour watch faces.
- And a lot of small things. Buttons that answer when you press them, clearer wording throughout, and more fixes than would fit here.

Mochi is more careful, and more honest, than he was a month ago. Thank you for keeping him with you. Most of this list started as a message from someone using him.

Plus a couple of small fixes under the hood.

Six new characters join Mochi on your wrist.

- Meet Macaron, Puffy, Croissy, Tirammy, Donny and Nattie. Mochi is no longer alone on your Apple Watch. Pick the character you like best and he'll show your stress in his own way, both in the watch app and in the watch face widget. You can preview each one before you decide.
- Your state right on the watch face. Add the Mochi widget and check in without opening anything. We've included a step-by-step guide, illustrated with real screenshots.
- Mochi now tells you what drives your stress. He reads through your data and names the likely causes instead of leaving you to guess.
- A full week of history, on any day. History now shows your last 7 days instead of the current calendar week, so you get the whole picture on a Monday rather than a single bar. Every day is coloured by its stress level, so a hard stretch stands out at a glance.
- Your history survives a reinstall. New phone, or reinstalled the app? Mochi rebuilds the past 30 days from Apple Health instead of starting from scratch.
- Rate Mochi and reach support straight from Settings.
- Fixes and polish. A completed purchase now unlocks everything right away, Mochi no longer interrupts your music or podcasts, HRV and resting heart rate load correctly when you scroll further back, and buttons are easier to tap across the app.

We're continuing to refine Mochi to deliver a more consistent and reliable experience across iPhone and Apple Watch.
As always, you can reach us at support@99wrongturns.com

### 1.1 — 2026-07-09

This update is all about accuracy and consistency.

- Sleep numbers now match across the app. We fixed cases where your sleep duration could differ from one screen to another, and stopped double-counting when more than one device tracks the same night.
- Fixed several places where the same metric: resting heart rate, latest HRV, calories, VO2 Max, mindfulness minutes, noise, and body weight - could read slightly differently on different screens.
- A fresh new app icon on iPhone and Apple Watch.
- A cleaner, simpler tab bar.
- Localization fixes and lots of small polish.

Thank you for using Mochi. We read every piece of feedback.
