This notification blocks the user from reviewing the cards and significantly slows down the experience. In many cases, the user is forced to quit the app entirely. I understand that this might be design but for me some UI elements are too small and I have problems with clicking them. I would be grateful if that could be adjustable. I cannot log in for some reason, it just doesnt send any token to my email, though it should for verification purposes, so that i can use my email to save data. I love that the paid version (worth the expense) allows you to add audio by highlighting the phrase or word and sliding the scroll bar over to “speech.” This is much better than Anki and slightly more user friendly. Mochi is not without a slight learning curve, but totally worth it. I wish that you could set your decks to scroll through the cards without you having to manually click from card to card. Then I could easily review materials while driving. I’m sure there is an option to reverse the display order (answer, then question) but I can’t for the life of me find it??? ### 3/5 — Great app but sus--too much data storage for mere text *2025-12-16* I had less than 300 flashcards but more than 400 megabytes used in storage from this app. I don't know what happened but ever since LLMs integrated with this app I lost interest. I was unfortunately surprised to find that such a basic feature as device sync was locked behind a paywall however. I use it to learn vocabulary (mainly with Cloze Deletion). It offers so many options, has a very clean design and the function for automatically inserting furigana for Japanese texts is incredibly practical and saves a lot of work. The AI translation function also works perfectly. The paid version is definitely worth the money if you use the app regularly. Many thanks for this great app! ### 5/5 — Top *2025-07-11, version 1.19.0* Schöne Oberfläche, viele Anpassungmöglichkeiten ### 3/5 — great app, wish it had undo button *2025-06-26, version 1.19.0* i do really love this app. it’s free, ad free, and really easy to use! the only thing is i wish it had more undo buttons for my clumsy fingers! there’s times where i mean to press the “x” button but accidentally press the check button when i get a card wrong, but can’t go back to review it. same with the reviewing cards when finished button. ### 5/5 — Very customisable and organised *2025-05-06, version 1.18.11* Mochi is by far the best app I have found for flashcards. I am using it alongside my Japanese study, and it is so handy to have! So much customisation, if you like to code you can do a lot with it. However even if you can’t, like me, it’s easy enough to use. It took me a little to work out the tag system, but I can use the app well now. Things I like: Organisation. The app allows for sub-decks and filters within those sus-decks. Easy to navigate. Srs system Entirely free. Very few apps don’t put a limit on how many reviews you can do a day or how many decks you can have. Card style Allows for more than basic flashcards. If you want, you can add an input request in some cards which lets you type in an answer to check it. You can have an image that tap on to reveal. This is particularly cool, cause you can select specific parts of an image to reveal at separate times. Things I don’t like: Complexity Mochi can be semi difficult to use because of how much you can do with it. I struggled a little but was able to fix what I was trying to do by using mochi’s website. I would highly recommended you take a look at it if you need help. Overall a great app! Atm, literally crashes every time on MacOS / iOS so current version doesn’t work at all. Additionally, uploading cards is a f’ing nightmare. Super unintiuitive, and if you do it wrong you get a bunch of blank cards and no idea how to fix them. ### 1/5 — Pro version a rip off *2025-10-10, version 1.19.2* The pro version won’t allow you to add audio to flash cards which renders it useless for language learning. No response from developers- avoid ### 1/5 — Sharing Issues *2025-09-23* Downloaded the app and there wasn’t an option to create a new account anywhere. Finally managed to create one but the verification email took forever. Also can’t share flash card decks I’ve made. I copy and paste the link and get “can’t find deck” every time. Just very disappointing since I’d like to use this for the class I teach but there are too many issues involved. I managed to keep some from having made them on my laptop’s mochi (no subscription too), i exported to save on google drive. However, the ones i was working on my iPad all disappeared. I like my ipad over laptop because i can easily scribble over images before placing them on the app, but i cant export my notes from ipad to save them to google drive as back ups. ### 2/5 — Problem with voice to text *2025-08-02, version 1.19.1* There is a problem with voice to text. Whenever I say something using the voice to text feature the the words are left out for some reason. ### 2/5 — Buggy App w/no Dev Contact *2025-04-27* The concept of this app is pretty great and it being free is pretty nice as well! That being said, its UI is buggy and it will corrupt your cards! I tried contacting the dev to describe the bugs and how it might be fixed, but received no response nor found any updates to the issue. After seeing hours of hard work researching and creating several thousand cards go to waste, I’m finally done with this app! ### 2/5 — electron problems *2022-06-23, version 1.14.1* Has great potential, but suffers greatly from the usual drawbacks of Electron-based apps. You can also add photos and make cards that reveal parts of an image. These are few and far between on the App Store. There is also incredibly deep customisation which allows you to e.g. set randomness to review dates, and obscure parts of cards. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a small guided tutorial to new users, and maybe some tooltips which explain in more detail the function of some settings. But really, this is the best flash card app on the store, so I cannot complain! ### 5/5 — Amazing but buggy *2025-08-23* I’m trying to make a new flash card since I use this to learn Japanese, and right now it’s bugging in a way where I can only make one side.
