## What is Mochi Jikan?

Mochi Jikan is a round timer built for Kendo and combat sports. Clean, focused, and distraction-free — with Japanese voice cues that keep you in the moment when practicing solo.

TIMER
Configure warm-up, round duration, rest periods, and round count. The screen shifts from green to yellow to red as time runs down, giving you an at-a-glance warning without breaking concentration. Voice alerts — Junbishite, Hajime, Ganbare, Mō Sukoshi, Yame — fire at the right moments, just like a real shiai.

PRESETS
Save your configurations and pin up to three favorites to the home screen for one-tap access. Built-in presets include Kendo Practice, Kendo Tournament, and Jigeiko — plus boxing rounds and heavy bag work for cross-training.

KIHON PRACTICE
Work through nine Kihon sequences at your own pace. Beginner Mode shows the technique name, strikes, and description on screen during each callout.

REFERENCE LIBRARY
More than 90 Kendo terms across etiquette, commands, strike targets, footwork, and ranking — with kanji, romaji, and English translation. Filter by category or search by keyword.

PRACTICE LOG
Every timed session is recorded automatically. Log dojo keiko, seminars, and solo suburi by hand, and add a note to any session — new bogu, an upcoming grading, or what sensei told you to work on. Track your weekly count and day streak, and export a backup so your training history is always yours.

HANDS-FREE
Use a Bluetooth shutter button to start, stop, and reset the timer without touching the screen — because you can't work a touchscreen in kote. Or just say "Hey Siri, start Mochi Jikan."
