You can’t even change the names without joining a paid monthly subscription! There are limited options for a LOT of stuff, like backgrounds, tamagotchi skin, other pets, etc. paying a monthly subscription for that isn’t worth it to me, which kinda annoying. First of all I tried to get this app because I thought oh this is some thing to keep me motivated and learn a little bit of responsibility well it did but after leaving alone for a few hours it’s practically dead. When you first try to change the animal that you’re taking care of it’s says “you can change this later” but you have to subscribe to it just to change it who has that type of money, even though it’s only 1.49 it’s one of those things that it seems worth it but you end up losing your spare cash to it just to take care of something that isn’t even real. Most of the smallest things are things that you have to pay for and the things that you are left with aren’t even nearly as good which makes me really upset. But the thing that bothers me THE MOST is that it’s permanent you can’t delete it whatsoever it will say remove app and you will click it and it says remove from Home Screen and that it is ALL it says and when you try to get it off from the search bar it’s only says add to Home Screen so if you have the subscription and paying for it you are stuck with it and you are going to have to live with it forever and continue paying for something that isn’t worth it. I don’t want to seem like a hater to this app but it’s like a mosquito bite that ends up turning into a scar and you regret scratching it and can’t turn back now that you have it permanently. You have to subscribe to change your pet’s name ($1.49/month), which also unlocks exclusive food and app icon skins. For the content of the game, it’s not worth paying for. I really don't like pay to play games, and others don't either. Ideas: More games, pet accessories, holiday events, more pets, more likes/dislikes. Toys: items that are bought with tokens at the marketplace and can be placed in your pets background. Pets could have toys they like or don't like. Pet accessories: these are items that a pet can wear, purely for customization. Holiday events: tasks you can do during a holiday such as Valentine's Day that will give you tokens/Toys/accessories/food. More games: hide and seek, tic tack toe, Simon says, freeze Dance. Friends: eggs that are bought with tokens/real currency. Once the egg hatches you get a random friend. These friends will accompany your pet when offline, when asleep, and when in mini games. A lot of the stuff is behind a pay wall, which I understand because it looks like a small company. But there is still a lot of good things without it! With the subscription you can name your pets and get 2 and have a variety of pets.
