I paid for Premium Plus on MochiKana because it states that it includes access to all Japanese courses. However, that has not been my experience. * MochiKaiwa does not recognise my subscription at all. I only have access to the same three sample lessons that are available with a free account. The account remains free. * MochiKanji updates to Premium, but not Premium Plus, so I only have access to the basic content rather than the full library. Further the mochikana premium plus states that all kanji courses are included, but it is not clear only the kanji course in Mochikana and not in the dedicated app for MochiKana This is misleading. If Premium Plus does not provide full access across all of your Japanese learning apps, the description should clearly explain exactly what is and isn’t included before people subscribe. Please either honour what is advertised by providing full Premium Plus access across all the Japanese apps or make the subscription details much clearer. Download mochikanji too it helps a lot ### 3/5 — Great Learning Tool, Glitchy App *2026-03-20* Much like Duolingo, but very organized and doesn’t just throw random random lessons so you don’t feel lost, I’d give it 5 stars but the only thing preventing me is that the app can be a little glitchy and freezes but other than that, it’s very good, especially for the value of a year subscription. Update 03/20: Lowered the rating to 3 stars, learning aspect is great but it’s very glitchy. Even though I’ve been active daily the streak isn’t recognizing my activity so it hasn’t increased and when completing the “writing” feature when you press continue, nothing happens. Truely don’t know why this app is free to download at this point, might as well make you pay for that. I’ve downloaded what feels like hundreds of Japanese learning apps, most of which have some sort of subscription option but this is by far the most money hungry one. Most apps usually have certain practice options under paywall but this app lets you learn exactly EIGHT kana before asking you to subscribe. It times out multiple times a session when updating their golden time (SRS), fetching audio will fail so some drills will just have no audio, or a lesson won’t load. Every time it offers it I chose the year plan, and every time I try tapping it absolutely nothing happens. I was in the katakana section and it started having me study hiragana.
