### 5/5 — Beautiful Powerhouse

*2026-07-26*

This synthesizer is a beautiful powerhouse, it has a tasteful sleek UI, beautiful sound quality, and is a modular powerhouse.

It’s fairly intuitive, and with a little trial and error can be learned relatively quickly.

Compared to the world of desktop VST‘s, this Synths price point of $20 is a huge value, and basically a steal at its price point. If $20 is the entrance fee for a pro grade synthesizer, then I am happy to pay that price of admission.

As usual, IceGear delivers an ultra premium prograde synthesizer experience with this synthesizer that maintains this developers reputation of being within the top synthesizer auv3 manufacturers on the iOS platform.

Bravo.

PS: A master/main volume parameter would be nice to have and is really the only thing I think is missing from this synth.

### 5/5 — Low score because of unlock price?

*2026-07-22*

Loved all the others. Tried this and it is also great. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Disappointing release from a great developer

*2026-07-15*

Really sad this app has in-app purchases, costs more than any other app from the developer, and all this is only for “Version 1” features. I really liked previous apps, but this is a letdown for a synth with a multi-page list of limitations on the developer’s website. This one’s lacking the unique flavor of previous releases and the high aesthetic quality of past plugins. Really hope IceWorks goes back to the quality of apps and value they used to provide.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review.

I sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding the wording of the in-app purchase.

Based on the feedback I have received, I have renamed the in-app purchase to “Core Features” and revised its description so that it more clearly explains that it is a one-time purchase to unlock all of the core features currently included in Mochizuki.

Mochizuki is offered as a product with its current core feature set. “Core Features” is a one-time purchase that unlocks all of those core features. It is not a subscription. Once the core features have been unlocked, you will never be asked to purchase them again in order to continue using them.

I also try to disclose compatibility information and known limitations in advance whenever possible, so that customers can make an informed decision before purchasing rather than discovering such information afterward.

Thank you as well for sharing your thoughts about the design and overall direction of the instrument.

### 1/5 — No way and going my way

*2026-07-12*

I have several IceWorks AUv3 plug-in synths … all paid for outright and they are good; however, I will not invest in clock n’ dagger apps with limited trial periods before the become inoperable unless you pay for an IAP. Much worse, a Volume 1???. Where is IceWorks going with this? It is like a life time driven “ha ha, we did not finish this app” periodic extortion of expensive IAPs. Forget it.

I will never recommend apps like this to anyone. I blame Apple for this and setting a precedence of endless payment apps that can no more be guaranteed for a lifetime than the man in the moon. Companies go out of business. Companies do not grow and support changes to their apps with Apple’s ridiculous annual OS updates and before you know it, you have an unsupported dinosaur taking up memory on you iPhone, iPad, and/or Mac. This insane greediness and entrapment into constant payments and unsupported guarantees MUST END.

Sorry, IceWorks. NO DEAL‼️

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I am sorry that the in-app purchase raised concerns about possible future charges.

### 1/5 — Disappointed by This Release

*2026-07-12*

I’m disappointed by this release by the developer. I own all of the other apps they’ve made. I find this one to lack the unique character that their other apps have had in the past and it does not seem as well thought-out as previous entries, and I am concerned about the price structure with in-app purchases and the cost being substantially more than previous apps for just a “version 1 unlock”... I worry they’ll be asking for more money in the future. There are also an absurd number of disclaimers on the developer’s website about this synth. For their most expensive release yet, it has a severe list of limitations, some of which are quite basic. Lastly, I personally think this doesn’t live up to the aesthetic bar set in previous releases and the interface lacks the beauty of their previous work. I wish this was like their original slate of synthesizers. The dev’s previous work is some of my all-time favorite.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for supporting my products over the years.

Knowing how highly you regarded my previous instruments, I am truly sorry that Mochizuki did not meet your expectations. I also sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding the wording of the in-app purchase.

If the way I presented that information gave the impression that the product has an excessive number of limitations, I will certainly consider improving how it is communicated.

Thank you as well for your honest comments regarding the design and overall direction of the instrument. I will keep them in mind as I continue my development.
