## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work!

*2026-05-11, version 2.0*

Links inside app do not work at all, messaging system also doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Not helpful for Info on your health insurance

*2025-05-22, version 2.0*

Don’t bother with this app if you’re hoping to easily get information about benefits, Rx coverage, prior authorizations, etc. Health insurance companies aren’t forthcoming anyway about the coverage for which we pay so dearly, and this app will provide only the most basic information, such as how much you have remaining on your deductible. The rest is just smoke and mirrors, like the insurance companies themselves.

### 1/5 — Too many things just don’t work

*2025-01-29, version 2.0*

Cannot use the healthcare cost estimator or the pharmacy tools to see if meds are on formulary and costs. Very frustrating to be paying the expensive premium and not be able to use so called features to try and find out costs of services and meds.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-10-21, version 2.0*

It’s unfortunate that I can’t login from this app anymore. I can copy all my info from the desktop and it still tells me my info is wrong.

### 1/5 — Poor Performance

*2024-09-12, version 2.0*

The app is slow. When I see an alert that something needs my attention, nothing’s there. If there are thing for me to look at I don’t get a reminder. The reminders don’t clear so I am stuck looking at them. PCP search tool is useless as well. Even though my wife and I both have primary car providers the app doesn’t recognize them and keeps saying I need to choose one. This was supposed to cleared up when I called Moda and it was but the app reminder is still there. I don’t recommend using this app.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-02-08, version 1.0*

The app is SLOW and buggy. Same as the website, so not surprising. EOBs require too many clicks to dig into the PDF, then then the PDF will return to app page if you try to pinch to zoom too much, which is the only way to read on a phone.

Not user friendly at all.

### 1/5 — App broken

*2024-01-05, version 1.0*

90% of time this app doesn’t work. Won’t let me log in. Or if I am logged in a I touch let’s say account summary the page is blank. Everything I try and use in this app is just a blank page. Needs fixed.

### 2/5 — Lame

*2026-06-22, version 2.0*

Links failed to open for provider search even on a new phone Half the time. Not up to date information. Seeing/paying pills not easy.

### 2/5 — Search Not Functioning

*2025-04-24, version 2.0*

The find provider search function does not work at all. This is an important aspect of health insurance and should be fixed asap.

### 2/5 — Lousy

*2024-08-06, version 2.0*

This app rarely works. I can’t even search for providers through it. So frustrating.

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

### 3/5 — Not perfect for iPad

*2024-01-18, version 1.0*

Chat pop-up window has an issue which cuts conversation bubbles in the left. You could guess and wright reply, but the "Send" button was impossible to touch as the "Live Chat" button on the upper page covered it.

I uninstalled the app because it automatically opens from the browser after logged in.

I hope MODA prepares a tablet version soon.

### 2/5 — No Claim Submission

*2024-02-28, version 1.0*

The app is very slow to load. It does have basic functionality like viewing claims which is nice. But no ability to upload claims which is the most important function a health insurance app can have. Please get this on your roadmap asap.

### 2/5 — Better, I guess?

*2024-01-27, version 1.0*

A marginal step up from the previous Moda app, which was truly useless, but this is still full of bugs. It wanted me to add my PCP, so I used the search function in that screen with every iteration I could think of, and there were no results. So I went back out to the main and tried to find my doc in the general Find Care tool. It crashed the first time; the second time, my doc was there, listed as primary care. I went back to Add PCP and tried again, no dice. This app has the potential to be such a powerful self-care tool — please give us something that actually works.
