On a newly bought iPhone I wanted to restore purchases inside the App but it won’t succeed. In the AppStore it shows the packs I already bought and can’t buy twice. ### 3/5 — Broken expansion store purchasing *2026-06-12, version 2.4.4* “Restore purchases” doesn’t restore purchases… I have to go through each expansion pack I bought and actually buy it, double click the power button for confirmation, and then have it tell me that I have already purchased this. But I don’t know if I did or didn’t before buying it… so inevitably I would have to buy all of them to ensure they are installed. This is either genius evil work or sloppy coding. Many of the presets are fantastic, IMO… and offer a broad range of inspiring “starting points”, as well as concepts to learn from. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same issues are happening. My computer is fast and reliable, fully compatible, and having no other issues. I don’t understand why I can’t get this app to open. Never tried modular before, but a couple of hours in and I’ve managed to hook it up to my Roland Aerophone AE20 and am managing to get the exact Funky Moog sound I was dreaming of. It seems impossible to contact support and Moog has completely ignored the problem for months. It seems impossible that Moog doesn't read the reviews on the App Store. This and the Model 15 cannot swipe out of the app — the user gets locked in and has to hack a way out through settings ### 1/5 — Still no 0 delay filter *2025-08-18, version 2.4.2* This could be so good if updated with a 0 delay feedback filter, but in its current state sounds so plasticky with punchy modulations. ivcs3 updated their filter, why can’t Moog do it? I will revise to 5 star once they do it. Till then it remains uninstalled. I can’t stand it’s plastic resonant sound when modulated. Not analog sound. Whether with Loopy Pro (Could not communicate with helper application, Reload) or (Model 15 has encountered an error: Couldn't inantiate Inter-App Audio node: error -1. Open Model 15, quit it using the Multitasking screen, then retry). Even the standalone app no longer works without errors. Display errors where 80% of the instrument is no longer visible, the app hangs or restarts when you select patches. Even with Behringer modules you would have more and Model 15 and without constant error dialogs or software errors. Even a reinstallation did nothing. A downgrade is impossible. Commercial violence against customers. Instead of making music, lots of error messages. The ones from Moog are the best but for Pads & all types of crazy sounds, this is the best. It's got the most high quality sound out of any synth I got, there's only one non moog synth auv3 that compares. Now I'll be honest, I have to go through a lot of presets to find one I like, I make trap based music so we're really particular about our sounds. Good times for all. You gotta play with it, luckily it draws you in. Inspirational. ### 5/5 — Great emulation of the classic *2026-02-13, version 2.4.3* It is fun to create sound, just with the classic basic modules. All in one place, no need to compile it. Just start. Like any modular it has a steep learning curve, especially if you are not knowledgeable about how (subtractive) synthesis works, how sound is represented by waves/ voltages. Still, good integragted step-by-step tutorials and many ready-made patches help to get in. Just with the patches and some experimental (re-) patching it is possible to create some special/ strange/ experimental/ ... sounds. II really like that this one is for iPad and Mac (I did not try iPhone, probably very fiddly). Same for Animoog Z and Model D. The later synthesizer are only for iPad. This digital replica brought me to buying a physical version of the Model 35 (non-Moog, I do not have so much money). And trying things out digital and then transferring to phyisical. ### 5/5 — Super cool thing *2025-12-27, version 2.4.3* I’m shopping for a real analog Eurorack synth and I’m highly unlearned. This app lets me learn a lot for the price of a few real patch cords. An incredible bargain and a lot of fun, this will keep me busy and help study up for buying a hardware modular synth. If you make music, even for fun it’s the best in class. This and animoog are the best synthesizers. Plus if you own a Mac desktop m chip it works on both devices. Endless sounds and it has very analog warm sounds. I personally like it to later my soundtracks when I’m using guitar this fits perfectly. Thank you moog I’ve got enough gear otherwise I’d buy one of these for real life. No need to now though this sounds just as good!
